This is one of two rooms at Aisling Bed guest house. The room, Murmod Sanctuary, has its own private bathroom, air conditioning, couch with additional fold-out bed, and cable TV. On the same ground level floor as Duleek Opulent, both rooms have shared access to a private entrance to E Concord St and a small kitchen.

We have decided to change our business model in that a continental breakfast will replace the family-style breakfast.

The space

Aisling guest house is located in the Historic Boston neighborhood of the South End. The South End is Boston’s most varied and famous dining destination. A brisk walk or ten minute bus ride brings you downtown. Aisling is your gateway to a truly relaxing visit to Boston. Aisling means “Dream” in Gaelic. Your Irish hosts Dympna and James take pride in making you feel at home while still on a dream vacation.

Guest access

In addition to the room, there is a shared kitchen with a small refrigerator, stove, and coffee machine. Free parking is available if reserved in advance. Front door access is via a key.

Interaction with guests

We are generally available by phone and during breakfast and check-in to answer questions.

Other things to note

In order to be respectful of other guests, no children under 5 are allowed to stay in Murmod.

Our stay was both enjoyable and comfortable. James and Dympna are great hosts. Both are very personable and quite interesting in addition to providing excellent service. One of the unexpected bonuses of our stay was the conversations at the breakfast table with James, Dympna and the other guests. Breakfast included a wonder spread of freshly baked breads and muffins among other things. They are in a great location convenient to public transportation to downtown and Fenway ballpark. We highly recommend them.

Dympna's room is beautiful, clean and comfortable! She and her husband were very welcoming and helpful. The room was exactly as it was described. I would recommend it to those who are travelling for business or pleasure. The breakfast that was served was delicious and a perfect way to start the day!

Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful. They waited up to greet us from a late flight. They provided two incredible homemade breakfasts and friendly conversation. The room was large and comfortable. Great location as well and the included parking spot was extremely handy! We loved our stay!

The hosts were extremely accommodating and kind! The house is beautiful and looks just like the photos advertise. Check-in was flexible which was very helpful since we got there a bit early. Dympna made breakfast in the morning and it was at once a delicious and beautiful experience. I'd recommend this spot to anyone! Spotty wifi was the only downside, but not a big enough deal to keep me from giving James and Dympna 5/5 stars!

Marvelous couple who made our stay comfortable and delightful. We have enjoyed intellectual discussions around the neatly ornamented breakfast table. The food is healthy and EXTREMELY DELICIOUS. Their attention to details made our stay a wonderful memory and we recommend this place. They were kind & allowed us to keep our luggage beyond check out time. It is only the slow wifi that we didn't like. But the room is clean and it looks just like the display photo.

Dympna User Profile

Your hosts Dympna and James take pride in making you feel at home. Dympna and James immigrated to America in 1981 from Ireland. Dympna, a lawyer, and James, a doctor, moved up and down the East coast until finally settling into the South End of Boston in 2005. After successfully raising four children, Dympna dreamed to meet and host interesting people: Aisling (Gaelic for dream) was born.

Aisling guest house is your gateway to a truly relaxing visit to Boston. We take great pride in transforming our guests from travelers to friends. We will make you feel like you are arriving at home instead of at a destination.
