Super markets: 1) At the end of the port, and before you take the road to Chora, you will see the super market “Demenagas” 2) On your way from the port towards Chora, just one kilometre after the port, you will find another super market “Demenagas” on your left side 3) You will see a super market AB VASILOPOULOS on your way to Chora on a steep left turn 4) There are two bakeries at the port and a butcher shop. There is another bakery at to exit of Chora. You will see it after Chora on your way to Pera Meria on your left side. 5) One kilometre before reaching the house at Pera Meria, there is a supermarket on your right handside.
Banks: Alpha Bank (a few metres after the port on your way to Chora on your left), Piraeus (at port and Chora), National Bank (at Chora)
Petrol:It is better to full your car at Lavrio or Athens. On the island there 4 gas stations. You will find the first two on your way to Chora a few metres after the port, one on you right handside and then one on your left handside. There is another one turning left just after the port on your way to Otzias (it is better to ask for this). And one last with automatic sale machine on your way to Koundouros.
When we arrive
-You open the shutters and you close the screens. You can latch the shutters from outside to protect them from the air currents. To lower the screens you push them a little bit and then you take them down (and up).
-It is better not to leave the doors open when you rest in the veranda, because there are many cats and mice in the area!
-The island (as in all islands of Cyclades) has a shortage of water so we have to use water from the tank underneath the house. The tank fills with rain water and with water we supply on order. Please, bare this in mind and try to be rational with water use. If there is a problem with the water, first you call us and then Petros (water supplier) at mob.
