Centrewood Homestead offers quiet coastal B&B 40 minutes North of Dunedin. It offers very spacious accommodation with
commanding views, extensive gardens with exceptional perfumed roses and a tennis court for guest use. Local beach is nearby.
Guests have exclusive use of a self contained 2-bedroom wing, with private bathroom, kitchen, living area, private entrance and verandah. $295 for 2 people sharing one room. Use of the 2nd bedroom is an extra $200, up to 4 people, or $300 up to 5 people.
The space
The very spacious guest wing is self contained and for you and your guests’ sole use, and elegantly presented. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with fridge-freezer, cooktop, microwave and dishwasher, as well as essentials like toaster and kettle etc.
The living area has a heat pump, woodburner, dining table, two sofas and two armchairs, and a 40" LCD TV with freeview TV and free wifi. Also Bluetooth audio set up. From the living area you have access to a large verandah with outdoor chairs and tables situated to get the evening sun & sunsets.
There are two bedrooms with comfy beds, one queen, other with a queen and a single bed. Please note there is an extra $150 charge for couples wanting to use seperate rooms. The spacious bathroom is equipped with a shower and large claw-foot bath.
Guests are free to wander the extensive gardens of roses, rhododendrons and daffodils and enjoy the amazing views, birdlife and peacefulness. There is a hard tennis court for guest use with racquets and balls available. Also croquet and pentanque on request.
Guest access
Any booking has exclusive sole use of the guest wing, so you will be the only people using it. The Veranda has outside tables and chairs for your sole use, and you are welcome to wander anywhere in the extensive gardens and bush walks. There are also numerous outside benches for scenic sheltered lounging.

$500 per night for up to 4 people, $600 for up to 5 people. Palmerston is 10 mins drive and has a small supermarket and cafes.

Local wildlife includes penguins, seals and native birds. A quiet beach is 2 minute drive & 10 minute walk. Or, alternatively, a longer 60-90 minute cliff-top walk with spectacular views. This walk and penguin beach is closed for wildlife management purposes December to February. Other swimming beaches are close by, as well as Anderson’s inlet Wildlife Reserve.
Moeraki boulders are 25 minutes drive to the North.
Dunedin, approx 40 minutes to the South is known for it's University & Scottish heritage.
