Spacious cheery bedroom with queen size bed on the second floor of a beautiful foursquare Victorian home. The bay windows overlook the park across the street, the historic Rondout area, and stunning renovated steeple next door. Just a few minutes walk from the marina, dining and museum.

The space

In the summer, this room feels like an oasis in the treetops, from the large maple right outside the three bay windows, shading the room. The view is different from each window, offering views of a local hill, chapel and old pastors house, and a quiet park. This spacious bedroom is on the second floor of a Victorian Foursquare house located on a hill overlooking Cornell Park with views of the Hudson River and the historic Rondout district. There is radiator heating in the winter, and window fans for the summer. My home is an old house with all the charms and quirks of a well loved and lived-in home and there are still areas I am working to improve.

Guest access

The shared full bathroom is next to this master bedroom, and guests are welcome to relax in the living room on the ground floor or take in the view of the park and Hudston River from the beautiful front porch.

Interaction with guests

You are encouraged to find your own way around the charming neighborhood and discover all the delights that the Rondout, the city of Kingston and the Hudson Valley region has to offer. I will also be happy to give recommendations on dining, hiking, trails, kayaking, shopping, art galleries, nightlife, dancing, local music and other adventure possibilities, this area is overflowing with options!

Other things to note

There are 2 large cats and one small dog in the home.

I use mostly fragrance free and "Green" cleaning products for the sake of my old house fixtures, my health and our environment.
Kingston has single stream recycling (glass, metal, plastic, paper, cardboard), and there is a recycling basket in the guest bathroom and a larger one just next to the kitchen. Please use the recycling containers or ask me to take your recyclables, thank you!

Jessica is a great host, with lots of information about her area. Her house is very unique. Kingston is a happening place with lots of potential. Some excellent restaurants and shops just around the corner! Tour the historic area with great Restsurants and the Historic Huguenot Stone houses For artists, check out R and F Handmade Paints and get a tour of their factory and showroom and Bailey Ceramic Supply right next door. I emjoyed my stay there! The Hudson River Valley is a beautiful area .

As an artist, I value beautiful living environments and feel blessed to be in this Victorian home with river and mountain views in the middle of a small city. Right after I moved in, I had 4 kayaking guests from the Two Row Wampum/Unity Ride and I experienced the joy of sharing …
