Emory's place is a delightful little above-garage apartment with a warm, rustic beach feel to it. The hospitality was top notch, and we were even treated to homemade cornbread muffins on our first morning. The location is good for Cisco lovers — it's a nice walk to Cisco beach in one direction, and the legendary Cisco Brewery in the other. Ladies beach is even closer. Anywhere else requires a mode of transportation, but it was perfect for us. We would definitely stay again!

It is an understatement to say that the pictures of this place do not do it justice. It is a perfect getaway for a couple in the perfect location on the perfect island. From the minute we arrived, we felt comfortable in the cozy cabin that Emory has prepared above the garage on his sprawling, gorgeous property. He is such a welcoming host, and greeted us with wine, muffins, and even some delicious tomatoes tomatoes fresh picked from his immaculate garden. Anytime we needed anything, Emory (and his lovely wife, Susie) were around to help and share their knowledge of the island. The cabin itself is spotless, as Emory maintains it (and the entire property) with obvious care. There are so many windows, letting in natural light and the ocean breeze. We had some of the best nights sleep of our lives on the incredibly comfortable bed. We made great use out of the kitchenette, and even cooked a 3-course meal one night. We rented bikes and had them delivered to the home (super easy), but you could walk to the beach easily as it's only a bout 1/4 mile away. The beach is incredibly beautiful and not super crowded as it's not one of the main ones. Bartlett's farm is also less than a mile away - perfect for all food needs. Also a mile away is the Cisco Brewery, which is also a winery and distillery, and has local food trucks, a raw bar, and live music basically every day. The brewery runs free shuttles into town - so you can go there and save money on taxis/ride-apps. But town is also a 3 mile bike ride (~15/20 mins) so easy to get there that way as well. We cannot recommend this place highly enough to ANY couple visiting Nantucket. And you should definitely visit Nantucket ASAP b/c its a true wonderland.

The place is adorable; it is walking distance to a beautiful beach & to the Cisco Brewery (about a mile or so) and the hosts were fantastic. I'd certainly stay here again!

This was hands down our best vacation on Nantucket yet! My husband and I have made an annual trip to the Island for the last 8 years and have always stayed in town. Over the years, we found we were spending the most time in the Cisco Beach area, so we smartened up and checked out Airbnb. Boy, are we glad we did! Not only will you find yourself embedded in a gorgeous neighborhood with an incredibly close proximity to the Beach, Brewery and Bartlett's Farm - you will also stay with two wonderful people who could not have been more generous hosts! The apartment is private and spacious. The ride to town is about 12-15 minutes (by car, in season) and you can still enjoy the shopping/culinary scene in a jiffy. However, you will be glad to escape town on a sun-soaked summer day and enjoy this wonderful Airbnb! Thank you to Emory and Susie!

We rented Emory's guest house for a 2 night mini-vacation to celebrate our wedding anniversary and were 100% happy with the accommodations. It was our first time to Nantucket and the location was just what we were hoping for: quiet & secluded with a non-touristy feel to it. We had everything we needed with the mini-kitchen + small appliances, plus a very comfortable well-appointed double bed, and a shower with good pressure and nice hot water. Our favorite part of the space was just how open and airy it is--the lofted ceiling and many windows really capitalize on the lovely fresh air and ocean breezes. Truly wonderful. Emory was a gracious host--inviting & helpful but unobtrusive. And we enjoyed the muffins he brought us the first morning! The only other thing I would add is that if you are toying with the idea of using bikes as your main mode of transportation but are concerned about the distance, don't be. We rented bikes for the duration of our stay and the ride to town was lovely. Took about 30 non-strenuous minutes and was a great way to get out and enjoy the island.
