Alexander was mostly nice. The apartment is a 15 minute walk to the R/N/Q trains and a 10 minute walk to the A/C trains. The room is good, but he only left one small smelly pillow for this queen sized bed and only one merger towel with no access to extra towels or pillows. I simply couldn't use the pillow that was left because of the smell, so I was happy I had my neck pillow from the airplane. The bathroom was clean and the kitchen was clean as well. We had a bit of a problem in that I had requested to leave my stay 2 days early before I arrived giving 5 days for those two days booked. I was in a rush to get home after a couple weeks of travel due to a business problem at home... He agreed if I would pay for those days. It being NYC and this spot being the only affordable spot left when I searched I knew there would be no problem re booking those days. Anyway, there wasn't but when it came down to it, he didn't accept the requests to book because he was not prepared with clean sheets to re rent the room out. Point is, he wanted me to pay for those unbooked days. Had he know that he didn't have the proper means to rebook at the beginning of the conversation I may not have left those two days early as those funds were enough to pay for my flight home early.

Response from Alexander:
The pillow will be changed, but no one else has complained about it. As for the last minute change, I attempted to do Donna a favor and ended up losing money because of it. She actually got a free day for the aforementioned night that I wasn't able to accommodate the other guest. The other night never got booked, and she gave me a ton of grief about this. It really isn't my fault that the busy season of NY is coming to a close for the summer and I had to book a Sunday and Monday night last minute. I recommend next time that Donna books the correct dates from the beginning and then this won't be an issue, and then I would have been able to find someone to fill those nights for an extended period of time. I think any future guests who look at my reviews will see that I've been quite accommodating to my guests in addition to quite reasonable, and I even took a monetary loss when attempting to help Donna out. That being said, I'll be very weary of anyone in the future that asks me to shorten stay last minute, and try to re book to someone else so that they can get their money back.
