I stayed in Franck's and Ayala's appartment for 4 weeks during a business trip. The appartment is really beautiful and perfectly equipped (wlan, telephone, ironing board and electric iron, coffee machine, microwave, dishes etc.). I did not meet Franck or Ayala personally, but eve…
Response from Franck & Ayala:
Merci de ces commentaires. c'est vrai que l'appartement n'est pas tres clair car il est au rdc, (comme mentionne dans l'annonce mais c'est tellement pratique, et apprecie, pour les touristes avec bagages, pour les personnes agees ou handicapees car pas d'escalier :)
We highly recommend staying at Ayala & Franck's apartment in Montmartre. We arrived after a long flight from Perth, Australia, gave the taxi driver the address and it was simple! I wouldn't bother with the metro or bus, especially if arriving at night with luggage. Hachim was the…
Wonderful flat, excellently situated -- easy to wander to Montmartre, and to several metro lines (so easy to reach anywhere in Paris). Clean. Quiet neighborhood and set-back from the road through a courtyard. Well-equipped kitchen. Would definitely come back! On a adoré l'a…
Initially, the hosts were very welcoming and helpful. They provided us with maps/transportation schedules, which I thought was nice. I, along with a friend, stayed at the apartment. We chose the apartment because the hosts advertised it as having two beds. But when we asked for s…
Response from Franck & Ayala:
Hi Ashlie Wow!! thank you for your appreciations (though we feel them as surprisingly aggressive).... Our comments for you were excellent! First of all some geographic knowledge : our apartment is a 4 mns walking distance from Montmartre (and Montmartre is definitely in Paris, though you mentioned "it is far from the city") Second - To avoid any further misunderstanding (it was the 1st time in 4 years of renting) we clearly mention from now on that the sofa is dedicated (and free) for a child only. As you know, you didn't pay anything beside the cleaning fees, which are clearly mentioned a few times in the ad, as well as the welcome message; it is for every member's choice whether to collect them through airbnb or not (and none is mandatory). In our case, as we leave outside of Paris, the cleaning fees are collected directly by the cleaning person's son, and are declared. This is an apartment with a queen bed for 2 people, with the possibility for an extra child on the sofa, for which we don't charge extra. And from now on we won't charge for the use of the sofa by an adult, because we will simply not accept it anymore. By the way we did eventually agree on your request (without charge), and this is why we suggested to make a "deserved comment" (probably bad french humor). But you obviously decided not to enjoy finally this agreement, and the extra bed! As for the general cleaning, where did you see that you have to do it by yourself? We just expect from our visitors, as a courtesy for future guests, to clean the used dishes only In one word, you did not pay any extra fee, besides the official cleaning ones. And all "unknown additional costs" are clearly written in the house rules. Thanking you again for coming, and sharing your thoughts. And you are right, the apartment is nice! :) Regards Ayala and Franck
