We spent three nights at Ioana's house and had a wonderful time. Ioana's mother welcomed us warmly and gave us delicious tomato's, watermelon and bread. The neigbors were also very friendly. We really enjoyed the cows who walked in front of the house to or from the meadows. It was special to live in the middle of this religious village and to experience a bit of the daily life. We highly recommend staying at Ioana's house!

I cannot sing the praises of Ioana and her parents - Emilia and Antonel - highly enough. To say they have gone out of their way to make our time here exceptional would be a gross understatement. They are quite simply, wonderful friends! The house is perfect - everything we were expecting and more. It's comfortable, it's beautiful, it's well-equipped, and everything works well. It looks lovely in the photos but in real life it far exceeds them. Plus it's wonderful to have a garden again! The village is without doubt, one of the loveliest places I've lived in: it's tranquil, the air is clean, and there are some lovely walks. The neighbours are kind and friendly, and very generous too. In terms of amenities, there is a small but very well-stocked shop a few metres from the house, where you can buy almost everything you'll need. There is also a bar next door to the shop. The nearest town is Reghin, which is about 25 minutes away by car. There are several large supermarkets (e.g. Kaufland, Lidl), as well as clothing and household shops, pharmacies, and eateries. While you can get away without a car here, if you wish to venture further afield, and not be tied to bus timetables, then it's best to have your own transport. Do be aware however, that the village rush hours occur around 07:00 and 20:00 (at least during the summer time). By rush hour, I mean the times the cows go out to pasture, and then return home (there are very few motor vehicles here)! All in all, I have nothing but good to say about this house, the village, the people, and especially about Ioana and her family. Baita is one of the few places in the world I'd be happy to settle down in. :-) If you love living among nature and farm animals, and crave a rural, slow-paced life, then this is the place to be!

What a wonderful stay! The house offers a peaceful setting and perfect base to explore Romanian life in a smaller town - - all with fast internet and other modern perks. The host's driver is very accommodating for pickups and drop-offs if arriving by train or bus, and a trip to a grocery store in advance is necessary without a car as other reviewers mention. There's a small shop for essentials, but most will want to stock up at a bigger supermarket as the bus into Reghin isn't too frequent. Otherwise, do take advantage of the tranquil scenery, welcoming neighbors, and fresh food like milk and eggs. Hope to return next year!

This property is so lovely. The house is beautiful and spacious and there would be room for a large family to stay together. Be aware this is super rural (as they state in the description), so we suggest if you don't have a car, be sure to do a big grocery shop in Reghin or Targu Mures. There is a small shop in Baita for your basics, but it might have been easier for us if we'd shopped beforehand. If you need to take the bus into Reghin, ask at the shop for times. It costs 7 lei per person. Ioana was a wonderful host! So communicative and helpful, even when I had silly questions! The area is beautiful and peaceful and we were often greeted by the village's residents. We loved all the animals, including a little dog that kept returning to visit us everyday and sleep on our doorstep. The Internet is great here too, very fast. Thanks for a pleasant stay!

Ioana place is lovely, middle of real Romanian village. Fantastic veg garden and orchard at the back of the property give some very private space to relax. The house is clean, very spacious with a bit of old charm.

Ioana's parents and a friend who spoke English were there to greet our family when we arrived at the house in Baita. They were very helpful, kind, and friendly and made us feel extremely welcome and provided us with all the information we needed to make our stay comfortable. There was very good communication from Ioana in coordinating arrival times, and information regarding directions. The house was comfortable, clean, and turned out to be excellent in meeting our needs. The description and photo are accurate as in the listing. Our family wanted a few days for rest and recreation and to experience life in a small Romanian village and this stay more than met our expectations. Like Ioana's parents, neighbors and people in the village were very friendly and outgoing. We have many special memories of this visit, and wish to return again another year and for a longer time. For those needing basic amenities while visiting the village of Baita, there is a small store within easy walking distance of the house. Within convenient driving distance the larger town of Reghin nearby which has all conveniences one might need. For those wishing a rural experience as we did, this stay was exceptional in every way. A big thank you to Ioana and her parents
