Amazing cave house in Santorini. Α mystical hideout that will make your vacation a life-changing experience!

The space

Amazing cave house in Santorini

The "Cave" is a beautiful, mystical and quiet place full of energy. Being carved out in the mountain and with its naturalistic architecture it offers pure relaxation that is hard to describe through words.
It has a queen size bed (160x200) and two single sofa beds. There is a small bathroom (shower, toilet, mirror) in the Cave and a fully equipped kitchen is located right next to a personal terrace.
The house is located at the very end of the medieval settlement of Santorini, the traditional village of Emporio. It has an unobstructed view of the entire village stretching all the way to the beach (Perissa) which is a 7 minutes ride by car, scooter or ATV. It is a perfect location to enjoy the silence and connect with your surroundings. Santorini is famous for its narrow roads and in order to arrive to the house easier, we recommend renting a scooter, ATV or one of the following car models:
Smart ForTwo
Other cars of your choice can be rented and parked at the Emporio’s village parking which is a 6 minutes walk to the house. Public transportation like bus and taxi can also be found at the village’s main square. We also offer the possibility to come and pick you up from the port or airport free of any extra charge. (For arrivals between 10am - 12pm, not always guaranteed)

We enjoyed staying in the cave so much! The ambience was so peaceful and the cave is a very short walk to the chest of Emporio. Tanasi, Yiannis' father, was an extremely accommodating and friendly host. He recommended his favorite local restaurants and activities and even picked us up at about 1am when our ferry arrived late to Santorini. We would love to stay here again, it was all around an amazing experience and we felt so lucky to have stayed in the historic village of Emporio and to have met so many wonderful people. This has been probably our 12th Airbnb overseas and it was by far the best one we have ever stayed in; we cannot reccomend it highly enough!

Wow what an experience! This cave house is the coolest place you can stay at. It is away from all the crowded locations, totally rejuvenating. The town is lovely and it is only a short walk from the house. Awesome hosts, you will have everything you need there for a perfect vacation!

Beautiful cave home tucked away from the busy city streets. Great to get away from other tourists. Tanasi (Yannis father) was a perfect host. Would come back again. Thank you for everything!

What a magical place. This was a memorable stay. Not only because it was the coolest Airbnb spot I've stayed in (you're in a cave!), but also because Yannis' father, Tanasi, treated us like family and made sure we were taken care of. You get to know an amazing man with a vigor for living life. The place is a real short moped/atv ride to the area's center, and the black sand beach (better than the red sand beach). It was a nice ride to Fira on the moped with cool views along the way. If you'd like a memorable trip with the old-school Airbnb experience (where you get to know the host really well, not wanting to leave), I highly recommend it.

Our stay at Yiannis' place was absolutely fabulous. Yiannis' dad (Tanasi) made me and my parents feel like at home right from the very beginning. His warmth and kindness were exquisite, and he also gave us excellent tips on what to visit and where to eat which made our holiday in Santorini unique. If I were to go back to Santorini, I'd definitely stay at Yiannis' place again.

The Cave House was just as it looks in the picture only you can't feel how beautiful and tranquil the land is or hear the soft bell of the goats. I loved my stay here, I had a small car so getting around was easy, there is food and convenient shops close by if needed and the best beaches on Santorini are a short drive. Tanasi & Yiannis were very gracious hosts and made my stay easy and memorable. If you like to be away from the crowds and live close to nature the Cave House is a must!

This cave is absolutely beautiful and on such a small island is as close to anything as you would want it to be. The cave had a beautiful view and was walking distance from Perrisa beach and there are many other beautiful beaches within a very short drive. Yiannis was full of helpful tips of where we should visit and even escorted us to the car rental on our first day in. I don't have enough good things to say about this place!! BOOOKKKK. Thanks again so much for having us!! see ya next year.
