Small & cozy place, great escape from life's rush or a local work/art/research with privacy; spoil yourself with a healthy breakfast, fresh baked bread, sound sleep & quietness.
Note: this is a real Bed & Breakfast, where the owner lives that also speaks Portuguese, Spanish & German..
Guests mentioned rustic handcraft & unique features.
On W side of Hudson River, N of West Point, next to last George Washington's Museum, Storm King, DIA, S of FDR's library, CIA etc. Arts & Historic possibilities.

The space

All carpentry and general installation was done by myself, thus unique.
The building has been made to be the most efficient insulation possible; to the motto that environment should be respected. The sun generates electricity to the whole property (main house and this detached building) making it, averaging the year, self sufficient in terms of electricity.
Be assured that the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom are all independent and private as is the whole Studio with private (not seen from the street) entrance.

Guest access

The premiss has an independent entrance at the back of the building but, has a few steps inside to access its floor albeit discrete and completely away from the street and independent from the main house.
If you happen to drive an EV, a recharging station is available at the property.

Interaction with guests

I hope that I can help with your stay, in any way. In that context, please inform, in a time-wise manner, if any allergies or dislikes exist and please, do not hesitate to gift me with the approximate arrival (and departure) times.
Thank you.

Other things to note

All possible food served is organic and in the season, from the own garden.
The bread is also self home-baked, exclusively with organic ingredients and will be served the evening of your arrival. During winter time, a wood-fired brick oven is used to bake and some are then frozen for future use.
Please anticipate any relevant information about food allergies or whatever you can't tolerate. I'd like to resonate with your needs/desires.
Please note this is life in the countryside... that means have all aspects of nature. Mother nature has created many beautiful creatures some we like and enjoy and other not so enjoyable; insects are part of that and I try my best to keep them at length.
Thank you.

Uwe's place was very nice and cozy. He was a gracious host and the place was very clean. He baked a loaf of bread for us in the morning that was to die for. It was just a short drive from Storm King which is why we stayed here. 10/10 would recommend.

There isn't an organic toilet but a macerating one.

Great place to stay. Clean, easy to get to, close to Storm King Art Center. Delicious bread for breakfast. Wifi access was spotty. Soothing spot to relax.

Uwe's Organic Studio was exactly as he described... Very cozy, charming style and comfy for the two of us...Located in a lovely, quiet neighborhood easy to access from major roadways... The week before our arrival, Uwe sent a personal message, that he may need to be traveling out of the US due to a family emergency.... He reviewed "check in" plan, and reassured us everything would be ready for us, noting... that he would normally be there to welcome us personally, and hoped we'd return in the future to meet.... On arrival after a long day of travel, we felt "at home" away from home..Fresh bed linens were ready for a restful night, Uwe had the Breakfast Table all set up with some Breakfast goodies and fresh ground coffee plus additional coffee beans and grinder...Table set up included my favorite...cup and saucer, although mugs were available... We appreciated the brochures of local places to eat and visit....and found several Diners near by, that were WONDERFUL! We didn't think to pick up info to share with your other guests...sorry! The Location of Uwe's Studio was perfect for our travel plans in the area... The Culinary Institute Tour and Dinner, Hyde Park Tour, and a day at West Point for the Weekend Game and Pre Game Parade... I flew from West Palm Beach, Florida on a NONSTOP Flt to Westchester, NY Airport...A smaller Airport, that was a pleasant and welcoming experience, and convenient to all major (URL HIDDEN) was about an hour drive on a beautiful day with "Fall" in the air to Uwe's Studio...not too far although, I would suggest trying to arrive before the after work "rush hour" traffic, or stopping for Dinner before getting on the road to avoid traffic! A personal FYI...There are stairs from entry door to main level of Studio, and a slightly inclined outside path from parking area....We both have some physical limitations with stairs usually, due to knee problems...Nevertheless, we were able to manage carefully, since the outside pathway was well lighted at night and the stairs were very stable.... THIS WAS THE PERFECT PLACE FOR OUR EARLY FALL ROADTRIP TO BEGIN AFTER SEVERAL DAYS VISITING LOCAL AREA ACTIVITIES AND RESTFUL NIGHTS....

I pay great respect to nature thus using as much as possible organic products that really resonates with mother nature's life.
Things that I can't live without include good air, love, respect, tribute to nature et cetera.
Having the privilege to host and share myself, or part of it, with other souls adds, always, value to my own being and for that I'm already glad; btw, thanks for reading!
... and my life motto is: enjoy life!
