Great location!!! In the town of Narnier right on the lake. Several restaurants within a few steps. Nice walks around lake and of course swimming! Jean and his family were lovely and accommodating, giving us hints/advice on the local area. Safe parking is available within 50m and Free. Be aware even though we thought it was charming and added to the atmosphere, this house is right next to a church which does chime on the hour.

We had a great time in this amazing historic house. There is plenty of space for a large group and all the essential facilities. The place was well prepared for us with full information. Jean was easy to contact and very helpful. The house is a very old house with some interesting features but it also has a great modern bathroom and a good kitchen with dishwasher (and good wifi!). There is a lovely old church directly opposite which strikes the hours which I enjoyed even at night. In the morning the swallows singing is a great way to wake up. The village is a favourite one of mine, though it doesn't have as many of the lake boats calling as other towns. Good places to eat, but a bit pricey (the chalet during the day is reasonable and good quality) and no shops so groceries need a trip to the nearest town. A good TV which we used mainly to follow the Tour, seeing Froome run up the Ventoux was quite exciting. Overall, excellent house we would love to visit again.

We would like to thank Jean and family for letting us borrow their beautiful house. We were made welcome, had everything we needed, and Nernier is a beautiful location. There was lots to do in the area and we had a wonderful holiday with our large family.

The accommodation was very nice and offered what we needed. We stayed in the cottage with our sailing team and we enjoyed cooking and eating there together in the evenings. We had no problem with parking, lots of spaces and the walk to the cottage was minimal. The location was beautiful and with good restaurants close by. Driving from Geneva to Nernier on everyday basis for two weeks was manageable too, took as 30 minutes each way and with not too much traffic. There is a beautiful church across the street that runs bells every 30 minutes, but we got used to it after few days. We would recommend the stay to our family and friends.

Jean and his wife were very welcoming and explained a lot about the house and some of the things we needed to know about the area. There is a cute village about a 20 minute walk which we enjoyed. We were a family of 10, there were 6 adults and 4 children, and the house accommodated us well. We arrived on a Sunday, but there were no shops open from which we could obtain food or provisions so this may be something to consider. Apart from the exceptionally hot weather, we had an enjoyable time and were able to cool off at the nearby swimming area so a good time was had by all.

We had a great time at this house! Everything was exactly as advertised and Jean was there to greet us and explain everything. We had 6 adults and 3 small kids and there was more than enough room for everyone. Having two cars we had some concerns about parking but it was never an issue, there were always spots available in the lot that is only a short walk away. Village itself is very charming with old houses, cobblestone paved roads and being right on Lake Leman. As others indicated the church bells are definitely there but by day 2-3 we mostly stopped noticing them.

Our family (8 adults + 2 infants + my husband and I) had a great time staying here. The house is very big, clean and well equipped, so we had everything we needed. The area is absolutely lovely and peaceful, and Jean was a very thoughtful host. The only watch-out is the church across the street, which does ring its bell even during the night. Still, we will definitely visit again if we have the chance!
