Russell Retreat is a peaceful haven, a place to relax away from the stresses of the world, with all mod-cons and a fabulous large private hot tub & outdoor shower. It's also an excellent base from which you can walk into the gorgeous heritage town of Russell, take a ferry over to Pahia, get involved in water activities, visit a great vineyard, or drive to any number of stunning beaches. As it says on the RussellRetreat website, it's 'Life as you want it to be'

The space
Russell Retreat is a modern, spacious & comfortable home. We call the Retreat home, not all the time but, frankly as much as possible. We are based in Auckland but go up whenever we get a chance. (But never fear, you do get continuous local support as well!) Having travelled extensively, we have a long list of personal likes, most of which we've built into the Retreat as a place to visit; and dislikes, which we have avoided! Overlooking Matauwhi Bay, Russell Retreat has a grand view, but is far enough away from the bustle in town to be secluded & peaceful. The new custom kitchen is fitted out with great European appliances & as I love to cook, we made it a kitchen to enjoy! It is large enough for you to be able to find a private space, away from your party should you wish, but not too large that it becomes difficult to socialise.

Guest access
The whole house is yours (apart from a couple of locked cupboards). We'll ask you to supply us with mobile numbers from each guest that wishes to open the gates should they be operating (we'll program them in for the duration of your stay) plus a 4-digit memorable number from each person that we'll program into the front door lock - no keys!

Other things to note
We are always on the end of the phone for anything you might need during your stay & we have great local contacts who will also look after you should you need immediate, local assistance.

Russell Retreat is located at the top of a hill in a quiet gated community. It is within easy walking distance (15 minutes) of Russell town & the ferry & facilities, but far enough away to be shielded from the bustling activity. Mostly what you look out on is trees!
