Other things to note

Avers is a traditional high valley with farming. Meet and cheese are available to buy at the local farmers. In the summer everyone is welcome to help make hay.
Right at the bottom of the valley is the world famous Boulder pard "Magic Wood". Young people of all over the world are meeting there to climb and boulder.
A great opportunity to explore are day trips to Chur, the oldest city of Switzerland, or the Tessin with its Lago Maggiore, Locarno and Lugano.
The skiing resort in the Avers valley is small but challenging, also for experienced skiers, snowboarders and those who like to go on skiing tours.
Bigger skiing areas such as Flims-Laax and Lenzerheide are less than an hour drive away.

Ulrike and Norbert were wonderful hosts. When we needed to change dates at short notice, they did so. When we arrived they greeted us warmly, and even had some excellent soup ready for us! They were great with our kids. House 79 is a gem - old, lots of wood, low doorways, very cosy, but with a well equipped kitchen and modern bathrooms. The surrounding countryside is exceptionally beautiful. We spent a wonderful few days here.

Response from Ulrike:
Thank you. You were great guests, not at all impressed or affected by the nasty weather. Perfect guests for this Valley. We would be happy to welcome your Family again, maiby when it's nice and warm or during skiing season.

Response from Ulrike:
