The space

Considering its appealing location, this house is huge! Guests can easily explore the city, relax in private rooms, then check out the common room. The entire basement of this traditional house has been transformed into a large, open plan communal area including a full kitchen, dining areas and a comfortable lounge. Hint: if you’re looking for a quiet place to read, check out the sunroom on the second floor.

Guest access

Depending on availability, you can book the entire house, or individual rooms. Private bedrooms lock individually, and common spaces are shared.

Had a great time however I would remove the candles as I see them as a fire hazard. Have a great day!

The room was hot in summer. Shower and basin need to be cleaner. I could not find anyone to ask the location of kitchen, or name of wifi connection.

Convenient location close to the University of Toronto and within walking distance of the subway (loved the streetcar stop outside too). House and room were pretty old but well-kept; there was cleaning done in the common areas every day. For the price, the service was excellent - towels provided, a bag of amenities including shampoo and toothbrush, a personalised key tag. Only issue I had was the odd flying bug or two in the room, but it wasn't anything major. The smell that previous guests found off-putting wasn't a problem with the air freshener. Overall, very good value for money and would definitely stay again.

Its a simple but convenient place. Close to all attractions with available parking for the guests. The place was clean and everything was as described. Perfect for young travelers! I would stay there again!

Stayed for 4 nights. Overall OK for the price. Communication with the hosts was good and got responses fairly quickly. The building is quite old but was kept rather clean. My room had a weird smell and because of that I preferred to stay in the kitchen and common areas rather than my own room. The room and the kitchen (which is in the basement of the building) had really small windows and did not get much sunlight during the day and that gave me a sense of isolation. I also noticed some flies, mosquitoes, and centipedes especially in the kitchen, but nothing too terrible. Overall not bad for what you're paying.

Clean, comfortable, and well-located. Great communication from hosts. They were kind enough to wait up for me even though I got in very late. Good value in expensive Toronto, recommended.

The house is old but pretty good! Each guest has a private room and it's quiet enough. The washroom was clean and this room is near to it so it's fairly convenient. However the only problem is that there was a strange smell in this room. But actually it can be accepted. A good place to stay for days!
