We had difficulty finding the place, but once inside, we were pleasantly surprised.
Maureen has created a western themed home away from home, with decor to match the country setting. We very much enjoyed watching the resident horses and making friends with them, occasionally feeding them carrots and apples.
A resident border collie was very friendly and well-behaved, quickly welcoming our two dogs. He adopted our Sheltie as his little apprentice, and they enjoyed playing and herding together. Our older Labradoodle enjoyed the country life, and took on the mission of plotting to catch gophers. (She was unsuccessful.)
We loved the setting, the view of the Rocky Mountains, and the accommodations were comfortable, spacious, and well-equipped.
There was no stove/oven, but the counter top cookers, toaster oven, toaster, microwave, and electric fry-pan made up for it. There was also a coffee maker, toaster, panini press, kettle, and salad spinner. Full size fridge, washer/dryer and clothes detergent.
Some supplies were included, such as coffee, tea, salt and pepper, steak spice, and we left olive oil there. There were ample dishes, utensils, cleaning products, etc.
It was good value. The location was awesome and pretty much every day we were there we made trips to Okotoks, Calgary, Kananaskis, Turner Valley, Bragg Creek, Canmore, and more. Great location!
Some improvements would make the property even better: fixing a couple of windows that are damaged; paving or adding a lower deck for the rental guests, as the entrance is quite tough. Having said that, I do recommend the place and would stay there again.
