Vintage and new, the studio is furnished with taste and makes you feel like in a home. It has windows and views on both sides that makes it very light and open. You can see Sacré Cœur through the window! The wardrobe and bookshelf are hidden behind the curtain. The flat screen tv facing the sofa bed and wifi.

My studio furnished like a home, charming mix of vintage and new with dedicated hotel service. Amazing views of Sacré Coeur and the rooftops of Paris on the other side, at the heart of the typical Montmartre quarter, in a calm, light dead-end street. The house is a charming 1800's building recently renovated with cable wifi & TV. Beautiful light morning and night thanks to the double exposure windows. The new top quality sofa-bed unfold easily.
Enjoy life like a parisian on the top of the world!

The space

In my studio you'll feel right at home! It is located in the charming Montmartre quarter, close to the locals cafés and shopping at Abbesses square and metro station. On the fourth floor, it has amazing views of Sacré Coeur and the rooftops of Paris on the other side. It is very calm without pass by traffic and looking out on an dead end street with an open air view directly on the Sacré Cœur of course.
In 2015, the buildings staircase was entirely renovated and it is just beautiful with its clean but still classical charms. Be aware of the many stairs you need to climb, both in Montmartre and to get to the fourth floor.

You will have the studio for yourself when renting it.
I've made sure it is equipped with everything you need for your stay (and cooking too) and I have a hotel service providing crisp clean white sheets and towels and cleaning between each guest.

My studio has a totally renovated bathroom (March 2016) with new italian tiles, wc and includes a wash basin and the high quality italian sofa-bed is brand new too (November 2016). The kitchen corner is equipped with a micro wave, cooking plates, toaster, coffeemaker and a fridge. Cable wifi internet and TV is installed.

I warmly recommend my studio for anyone that seek an authentic Parisian experience; a couple or single person can live here comfortably longer periods.

Guest access

You will have the little nest all for yourself!
Anne and Jean Pierre, my local hosts will be happy to assist you for check in and anything else you would need.

Interaction with guests

I'm living in Norway and when I'm in Paris that means you are not in my studio ;-) Therefore we will be in contact by airbnb messages and off course you can reach me by phone anytime.

Other things to note

Mayor upgrades lately to the studio and building have made my place just perfect! The staircase, that until spring 2015 looked like 100 years old without renovation - has just been renovated - in a classical charming way! The doors have all been painted blue and oak steps renovated with love ;)
Also I just remade the whole bathroom, italian tiles and included a washbasin. The entrance floor was remade with decorative concrete tiles and a new double glased window was put in the main room.

I previously studied and lived in Paris but lived on the opposite end of town an wasn't too familiar with Montmartre, but I *loved* staying here. The neighborhood has a good mix of tourist activities and locals-only places. You are literally just a short walk from Sacre Coeur, and for a non-tourist scene you can just go to the other side of the 18th, La Goutte d'Or, for a really lively area with lots of restaurants and bars in a diverse neighborhood. I should say *warning* - *definitely* note the caveat about the stairs, etc. Montmartre is basically one long, uphill climb, and that combined with the stairs means this is a good location pretty much for the physically fit and those with no mobility issues. I wouldn't say this is good for heavy smokers or drinkers either ;) Anyways, this place was soooo cozy with everything making the most of the space. The sofa bed might put off some people unfamiliar with Paris but this is very common (I lived on a sofa bed myself previously), and this bed is SUPER comfortable. The brand-new bathroom is great for an American-style shower, too. Most of all I really appreciated that Birgitta has thought to include every possible personal item to make this a comfortable stay. Many Airbnb hosts skimp on things like irons, hair dryers, and so on, but this had everything, down to various coffee makers, tea kettles, even a sewing kit and a small pocket guidebook to the city. I didn't cook but there was everything there to make a basic meal as well. There was also cable TV, which was cool to be able to watch local French news. All in all, lovely place to stay alone or as a couple, lovely neighborhood, and a quiet street as well. Great communication too. Thanks, Birgitta!

Thank you so much for your nice thoughts and feelings about my place Arielle! All in all very accurately as I live it myself when I'm there. The stairs are hard with bags, but once there, what a light and fab view to enjoy ;)

Birgitta's Montmartre studio worked very well for us. Jean-Paul was there to provide a friendly greeting upon our arrival and show us the ropes. Though small, the studio is very efficiently set up. The sofa bed was quite comfortable, the kitchen worked well, and though the bathroom is very tight, the shower was great. The stairway leading up to the studio is steep, but the views gained of the city (in back) and Sacre Coeur (in front) are excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Birgitta's place!

Great location in a great neighborhood - apartment was clean and well appointed with kitchen/bathroom supplies, fast internet and the sofa couch/bed was more comfortable than I thought it would be. View of the Sacred Heart chapel out the window - convenient location in a neat little neighborhood. Check in and out was easy - I recommend highly... If you have a lot of luggage - there are 4-5 floors of narrow/wind-y stairs to climb up

A great place to spend a few days in Paris! The location is just wonderful and the apartment is just great. For all the positive things, see the other reviews, so I will mention only a warning for some people here: It's really _cozy_! My GF and I spent 5 nights there and now we are happy to have our own larger bathroom back. If you need a little more space (especially in the bathroom!), this might not be the place for you. Apart from that, it's perfect! :)

The apartment is exactly as described. Quaint & clean. The weather was lovely so it was great to sleep with the double windows open. Beautiful views. Lots of stairs to climb getting to the building then to get into the room. But we saw that as a positive being that we knew we would be eating a lot. It was great exercise. We loved montmatre & the view of Sacre Couer. Our communication w/ Brigid & her managers was very good as well. They responded quickly whenever we had any questions.

I'm a swedish designer living on the west coast of Norway. My french husband is also a designer and we run a studio together. We have a cat and a son in university. We go regularly to Paris where we have a studio that we rent out when we are not there. Since we live in a far away place we travel a lot visiting fairs, conferences, for projects and friends.
We are social people that love to share a good meal, often cooked by us!
