House Rules

These are just a few reminder for you to help you have a pleasant experience while you are staying with us.

Please do not put any of the bedding onto the beach. Sand in the building gets trapped in the hoses and pipes of the washer and dryer and can cause damages.

Do not put any kind of string vegetables, potatoes peels, bones, eggs or anything that might cause the garbage disposal to consent. If you do expect to have a few additional guests, please contact office.

Pets are not allowed in any of the units or on the property. If a pet is seen or any evidence of a pet is found in the unit, there is a $300 per day, animal charge.

All units are considered non-smoking. IF you do smoke, please stay outside and please pick up any debris. IF there is evidence of smoking in the property there will be a fee of $250.

The homeowners association requires a 10:00 p.m. quiet time. If you are having any problems with noise from any of your neighbors please call the appropriate gatehouse and report it to security.
Guests are responsible for any damage to or missing items from the unit.

Motorcycles, All-Terrain Vehicles, Boats, Motor homes or any recreational vehicles are not allowed.

Please use the boardwalks at all times. Walking on the sand dunes can cause damage.

Please use only dura-flame logs in the fireplace (except for House 98) and make sure that the damper is open.

Lighter Fluid is not allowed for any use.

Please make sure all windows and doors are closed while operating heater.

Make sure that you have checked your unit for all your belongings: At The Dunes is not responsible for any items left in units. If any item is found we will keep it for mo more than 30 days before disposal. If you do not ask for an item to be returned to you by mail there will be a $10 service charge plus postage.

Our office is open from 9a.m. to 5p.m. daily. If you need supplies such as toiler paper part towels, laundry soap, etc. please come by and we will be mote than happy to give you some.

If you have and after hours emergency that cannot wait please call the south gatehouse and they will get in touch with one of our staff. Please remember check out is 12 noon.

My public review is the same review I sent to Brandelia. It was a great location but that was it. Brandelia, I have pictures of everything I shared in my review and would be happy to send them to you. I was most disappointed that you told me this was a better unit than my original requested unit (S299) and that was just not true. So, to improve this unit here is what needs to be done. 1. Fix the pull out bed. It's dirty and the springs are broken. My wife and I had to sleep on the floor since my in laws took the main bed and my kids took the bunk beds and the pull out bed was broken and filthy. 2. Put in the description that the fireplace is condemned and boarded up! 3. Have someone clean the walls. Even in the bedroom, there are red splatter marks from something on the wall that anyone inspecting or cleaning the place would have seen immediately. 4. Replace the carpet. I think you have mold growing in it, the carpet felt moist at times from the ocean humidity and the white carpet had a dark tinge to it. The carpet was just gross so we had to leave out socks on a lot. 5. Please remove the food in the cub birds that is expired. I have pictures of pickles in the kitchen that expired in 2002. Seriously. 6. IMPORTANT: fix the balcony. The metal mesh on the balcony is totally rusted and leaning on it would certainly lead to someone falling 3 stories to their death. As beautiful as the ocean view was, we had to keep the kids off the balcony because of the real danger. 7. The lights in the dining room need fixing, also the light in the front room shade is just garbage. How does no one see this? (Again, I have pics) 8. Replace old bathroom fixtures. The light didn't work and had exposed rusted parts. 9. Update the appliances. Seriously should have in the description that the kitchen oven is from the 70's would be nice to know. Also the kitchen cabinets need paint or replacing, just old!

This is a beautiful location and the views are spectacular! One of our best family vacations ever!

Brandelia was an excellent host! The condo was exctally what we expected. It was big enough for the whole group, it had a beautiful view directly facing the ocean, and right on the beach. There was a Firepit that we took advantage of, and tennis courts so we could hit the whole time we were there. This was truly and amazing stay at this unit and look forward to doing it again.
