A peaceful retreat, set on a country road, just a short walk to Koonwarra Village. There is a garden and a courtyard to the cottage and you are welcome to explore the main garden and the vegetable garden area -
say hello to the alpacas and chooks.

The space

In winter, a wood fire will be set and ready for you to light. House is fully self-contained with 2 bedrooms and all the comforts of home. As not mentioned previously, the nightly fee for children under 16 is $10. Continental breakfast is included (DIY) at your request OR full Aussie breakfast $10 extra (DIY).

Guest access

You are welcome to use most of the 3 acre property, except via closed gates and doors. Feeding the alpacas and gathering eggs (in season) is encouraged. When the vegetables are growing well, you are welcome to help yourself.

Interaction with guests

We will welcome you and show you to the cottage, offer to help in any way then leave you to your privacy. We will always be available with travel advice or local information.

Other things to note

Koonwarra is about 8kms from Leongatha. There is a large blue road sign alerting E.H. Cottage in 200m, then move into left lane and turn left into Old Koonwarra/ Meeniyan Road. Cross two small bridges and in 2kms, turn left into Egan's Rd. We are first house on the right on Egan's Road.

Highly recommended for anyone who wants to explore Wilsons prom., Inverloch or Phillip Island and who is looking for great views. I'll leave the rest for you to discover and enjoy. Jan and Graham are a delight! Don't hesitate to have a chat with them. They know a lot about the area.

What a lovely cottage and stunning views The cottage was very clean, so cosy and relaxing, and its surrounded by beautiful flowers and animals. We had a wonderful stay there, feeding the alpacas&enjoying the views. It just takes about 10min to a big supermarket, and the house is well equipped Our hosts are so nice and helpful! I'd love to come back Thank you again Janet&Graham!

Superb spot to relax and explore. The cottage is so cosy. There is a great cafe at the end of the road too which was ideal for a morning coffee fix! Our hosts were really generous and welcoming. Our boys were able to feed the Alpacas which was a highlight and they became very fond of the little dog Lilly. A very memorable stay.
