This room is well-furnished with a huge double bed, a bedside table and a capacious cupboard. It is also equipped with an air-conditioning and one ventilator to refresh oneself from cuban’s tropical heat. There is a balcony which goes with the room Charanga. The bathroom which goes with the room with hot- and cold running water is beautiful and has been renovated recently. It is eventually shared with other guests from the room "Mambo".

Magdalena, the dueña of the house – a very likeable and dynamic woman – offers on request a wide, carribean breakfast and a cuban dinner. Breakfast costs additional 5CUC/pax and dinner 10 CUC/pax. The rooms are cleaned every day, the frottage is changed daily and bedlinen on request. Your personal clothes can be wahshed for a convenient extra charge if pleased.

Other things to note

Apsolutely the best random choice ever! I never expected this type of an amazing airbnb experience when I decided to even try airbnb for the first time. The location is great and it's easy from there to move to many sides of Havana and further... Everything is clean in the house and the room has a beautiful private bathroom and a balcony! And the family - I want to see them a million times more in my life time! I would recommend them as a no.1 choice of a wonderful airbnb!

Jessica was in charge when we stayed and she was extremely helpful and a fantastic cook, highly recommended. Remember to take lots of cash because none of our cards worked in Cuba.

Doris's house was beautiful and charming, clean, comfortable and homely. Most of all Jessica made us feel so welcome and so at home. She cooked us amazing breakfast in the mornings and a beautiful dinner (one of our best in Cuba) for just a few extra Cuban dollars. Totally worth it! Jessica even bought my boyfriend Mitch a cake for his birthday which was so super sweet. The house is gorgeous but the family even more! I couldn't recomend this home stay enough! Very charming, very authentic and felt like home. We will be back, love Mitch and Katie (aus) xxxxx

It looks just as great in person as it does in the pictures...even better (loved the piano bar)! Great location and the main hostess Magdelena was in Switzerland, so her 21-yr old daughter Jessica was our gracious hostess! She speaks good English, was resourceful and even treated us to some Chopin on the piano! Going in August means it was hotter than usual, but we were glad to have an air conditioner in the room. Great location to the Malecon and we felt safe throughout our visit.

The best part of the stay here was the hostess Magdelina. She treated me as part of the family and even let me cook with her one afternoon. Through her, I met some people that enhanced my Cuba visit. Her son Willy, a musician, lives with her and is very sweet. Her daughter, an accomplished classical pianist, was equally nice. This is a good thing because you are literally living with the family. The room is only a place to sleep and rest. The house and room are small without any space to comfortably sit without being in the middle of the family. The two uncovered terraces are not useable during the day (the front terrace was used more for storage) and the four-chair dining area is in the tiny kitchen and there really isn't a living room area, only a passageway/living room with a couple chairs, TV and keyboard (for Willy to practice) to kitchen and the dangerous stairs to the rooms. The a/c worked well on high but the fan's electrical outlet was broken with exposed wires. It was too hot to use the tiny balcony in the day and nothing to look at during the night. The room was only large enough for the double bed but plenty of drawer and closet space. The shared bathroom was good with plenty of hot and cold water. The neighborhood is more run-down than others only a few blocks away from the Malecon.

Great place right by the Malecon. It's a quiet place with nice walkable bars and resturaunts. Taxis can take you into Havana and anywhere else you need to go. Her place is quiet and her cooking will be the best food you have while you stay in Cuba

This house is magical, not only by its location, its beatiful view, and it's clean and neat rooms but most importantly by it's super host Magdalena! From day one Magdalena treated us like family. I had emailed her and Doris about us going to Cuba to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary and needless to say Magdalena made sure to remember this. Magdalena welcomed us like newly wedds! She made us a delicious authentic Cuban dinner which she served with wine at the terrace area of La Casita. She truly made us feel so special. Not to mention her daughter and son were the most beutiful and talented individuals who also made us feel very welcomed. They both are professional piano players, Willy even played for us one night and left us speechless by the amount of talent he has. Also, his sister Jessica who is not only a talented pianist is a wonderful cook. She cooked breakfast for us one morning and it was delicious! La casita is very clean, the rooms are very spacious and have AC units with fans. The bathroom is full remodeled and has hot and cold water. The terrace has a beutiful view to El Malecón with gorgeous sunsets which made each dinner extra special. In addition, Magdalena has a brother named José Miguel. He owns an antique car and works as a taxi driver as well as a tour guide. We paid José Miguel for a private tour around La Habana and he was amazing! He is not only an amazing person but a very highly educated individual for who my husband and I decided to named him a walking encyclopedia since he knew the history behind every building and monument of La Habana. He not only toured us around every courner of La Habana but also took us on another tour in Las Terrazas which is an hour from La Habana (Another place you must go). We Totally recommend him and his tours!!! Staying at La Casita was one the most beautiful experiences in Cuba we had. Thanks to Magdalena's hospitality, home cooked meals and beutiful family! We will never forget you guys since you are one of the reasons we fell in love with Cuba and it's people. Leidy & Erick
