Welcome to Portland! We are offering this lovely, fresh eco-flat in the Division/Clinton Dining District- (Zagat's and USA Today's 10 Hottest Food Neighborhoods in the US!). Our bright one bedroom apartment sleeps up to four: new Queen bed in private bedroom with fireplace and views to garden, lots of windows, French doors to a balcony, a sparkling well-equipped kitchen, dishwasher, dining table which can seat up to six, full bath with skylight, washer and dryer, fireplace in living room, local art, and a comfortable, new double sofa sleeper. And the flat is all solar-powered on sunny days! Free, easy parking.
You will be just a a few blocks from excellent restaurants, fabulous bars, hip food carts, bakeries, cafés, grocers, shops, indie cinema, beautiful parks. Bowling, swimming, OMSI Science Museum, the Railroad Museum, Willamette River Esplanade, Historic Ladds Addition, Springwater Corridor are also super close.
The apartment, in the Division/Clinton Dining District, is also just a short bike ride (about 1.5 miles) from the Hawthorne/Belmont district with Powell's Books, Blue Star Donuts, Por Que No, theaters, more shopping and great food.
In minutes you can get downtown from nearby bus lines, or cycling on bike trails. You won't need a car to enjoy this hood. Take a walk, see some urban chickens on the loose, or an Irish band playing in a side-yard, or clown cyclists, street golfers, or just a lot of lovely flowers, trees and friendly folks...you never know what interesting things you'll encounter in this funky, classic Portland neighborhood.
The kitchen is well stocked with pots, dishes, utensils and appliances for cooking, including organic teas, coffee, cream, sugar, spices.
This peaceful garden perch is on an urban food forest farm! We raise gentle native bees, ducks, and 16 kinds of fruits and many of our vegetables. We love to share our bounty- just ask what is in season!
Play music on the record player with an eclectic selection of records (or you can plug in your cell or tablet to amplify your own tunes). Also in the apartment you'll find an iron and ironing board, hair dryer, umbrellas, yoga mat, desk for your computer or writing, toys and games, a selection of books (many by Oregon authors), a luggage rack, and excellent guidebooks and maps.

This small, gracious apartment can comfortably accommodate up to four people. We welcome visitors from all backgrounds!
We do ask that you remove your shoes in this apartment. You may want to bring socks or slippers for your stay. There is one flight of stairs up to your flat.
In chilly times, a wonderful gas fireplace heats the cozy space and for luxury, we've provided a heat overhead lamp in the bathroom, too. We also provide fresh, organic blankets and quality duvets.
The apartment has a private entrance with a secure door computer code, for key-free access. After you secure your reservation, we will message you the entrance code, so you can come and go as you please. Check in time is 4:00 or later, and check out time is 12:00 (noon). If either of these times do not work for you, please let us know and we will work to accommodate you as best we can. We may not be available to meet you when you arrive, but you will have a personal door code so you can come and go as you please.
Parking is free and easy. You can park in the driveway or on the street.
You'll walk up one short flight of stairs to access your apartment.
Interaction with guests
Your hosts, a creative and active family of four, live next door. We will be delighted to meet you, and though you will have complete privacy, we are available if you have questions or concerns. Please don't hesitate to let us know if you have questions, concerns or requests!
Jen raises ducks and grows 16 kinds of fruits and many of our vegetables right in the backyard- and we love to share the bounty whenever crops are in season- please feel free to ask us what is available! Greg can help you with any questions about biking and can give you excellent directions for getting around.
We love to meet travelers so chat with us anytime! But we also know you will likely have lots on your vacation agenda, and you will have complete privacy in your space.
We speak some Mandarin and Spanish, and with advance notice, may also be able to offer some interpreters of Russian, German, Luxembourgish, and French.
We have made a list of our favorite nearby restaurants and cafés, and we can give you lots of ideas for adventures, events, etc. We stocked the apartment with a wide array of maps, guidebooks and articles to help you enjoy your visit to the fullest!
Other things to note
Please be aware NO SMOKING or VAPING of any kind is allowed anywhere on our property. And we ask that all guests remove their shoes in the apartment. You may want to bring socks or slippers for your stay. Thank you!

4) please respect our space as if it were your own home.
5) parental supervision is required for any kids younger than 10 on the balcony. We do allow kids, but note there are open stairs and the balcony.

Greg and Jen have lived in Portland for decades. We love it, and can offer you many suggestions for local and regional adventures. We have two teens, so we can also advise parents on Portland kid places to go/things to do. Greg is a software engineer and avid cyclist. Jen is an environmental activist and urban farmer. You will have complete privacy, but please feel free to ask us about hikes, bike trails, breweries, farmers' markets, events, etc.
