Self-catering available big single room in a residential neighborhood near Greenwich, you will share cosy kitchen/dining and shower room with host and sometimes other guests; price EXCLUDES breakfast.

The space

Self-catering bright single room in a residential neighborhood near Greenwich, you will share cosy kitchen/dining and shower room with friendly 2 other people; price EXCLUDES breakfast.

A sunny single guest room ideally for one person, though which can accommodate two people (It used to have a double bed in this room but I would rather keep this room spacious by putting only a single bed now. There is still space to add an extra single bed). It is an ideal home for your short stay. Self-catering available.

The room:
This room is worm, bright and quite that face to green back yard. Apart from a single wooden bed with memory form mattress, in this room there are also: bedside table and lamp, desk, chest drawer, wardrobe, bookshelf, floor lamp, dressing mirror, tube sofa, TV set, and hairdryer. Duvet and covers, pillows and cases as well as towels are provided.

The flat:
This 2-story flat locates in the top of a 1920's house. It is on the 1 and 2 floor. There are jacuzzi bath, power shower and 2 toilets in my flat, a cosy kitchen you can share with us, and wireless Internet of course. Free street parking, if you need.

The area:
It closes to both Goldsmiths College and Brockley village so there are arty cafes and chic bars for you to choose from morning to late night. Apart from art students from Goldsmith College and establish artists living Brockley village, Deptford market has formed a new arty community too. Laban Centre is not far from there. The market place in Deptford is an amazing multicultural field.

The host
My partner and I can speak English/French/Mandarin. We have shared flat with international students/guests for over 9 years so are experienced hosts, though we are new to Airb&b. We respect our guests’ privacy and needs, on the other hand we are sociable and happy to provide local and general tourism information or to organise a night-out, just ask us.

The transporting:
1. 3 minutes to the nearest bus stops or corner shops
2. 7 minutes to London Bridge by train
3. 10 minutes to New Cross or Brockley stations, or local market
4. 15 minutes to New Cross Gate (big supermarket) or Deptford Bridge DLR station

I had a good time with Whitney. On many nights we had some very interesting conversations about many things. My only regret was that I got home so late that sometimes I didn't see her for a few days. She has a lot of USEFUL information to tell you about London and if interested, Taiwan. She was very helpful, even before I even arrived in London. She was kind enough to send me a detailed document that has lots of information about transportation and local attractions. If you spend the time to read it, you will benefit from doing so. The apartment was clean. The bedroom was big enough and very bright during the day. There was a good size table to use in the bedroom. A real bonus is that there are two bathrooms. I was surprised how much fun I had in London. Every day I walked from Chelsea/Kensington to Whitney's place (about 12 miles). I took a different route each time. I saw lots of interesting things every day. In fact, in 14 days of doing that, I never saw the same thing twice. There really is a lot to see in London. Her apartment is ideally located. It is far enough away from the heart of the city that if you walk home you can see a lot, but it's quite close to the train stations. I found the easiest one to get to initially was Brockley station, but once you are used to the area, I would recommend the New Cross Gate station, as there is a big Sainsbury supermarket very close by and many good restaurants and cafes nearby. If you like Caribbean and West African food, go to the Caribbean Take Away shop between New Cross Gate Station and Whitney's home on New Cross Road. Their jerk chicken (from Jamaica) and jolof (from Ghana) is great. If you don't like cats, it is important to understand that there are 4 cats that walk everywhere in the kitchen and most of the apartment - they are friendly!

Wonderful stay Whitney she is indeed a super host, she literally saved my day when I had a terrible stay at another Airbnb and needed a clean room for moving urgently - She responded my message promptly and accepted my last minute booking . And Whiteney had been really helpful and kind all the way through for 7 days while I stayed. Kay was really nice too he even helped me to clean the room by making sure everything is nice and clean before I entered the room while he had an injury. I can't thank both of them enough. The room is lovely, well decorated and has comfy bed. It's exactly like the picture shown online. The house is located at quiet street so I slept well too. The house is clean and bright, there is no smell at all even though there is 4 cats in the house. And all the cats are so friendly and cute. About the transportation, the place is well connect to central London. If you walk to Brockley station ( 10 mins walk) and take the train is just only 2 stops and you will be arrived at London Bridge. And I felt safe to walk down on the street at night. Have to mention there has a small Vietnam restaurant called ' Bite Mì' , a must try! Everything is freshly made. Very closed to Brockley station. I highly recommend for staying at Whitney and Kay's place.

I had a very pleasant stay at Whitney's place for roughly two weeks. The room was quiet and very well-equipped. She also provided me with a pair of slippers and bath towels. Whitney was very nice, friendly, and caring. It was very nice chatting with her at the kitchen. I recommend her place without hesitation. Thanks a lot!

I enjoyed my stay here. The apartment was clean. Making use of the common areas was easygoing. The room was very cozy and had all the furnishings essential for a comfortable sojourn. This made it an enjoyable space to both relax and get some work done. Communication with the hosts was excellent.
