Ireshas family was very friendly and pleasant. They offered us drive and show us nice places in Dambula and around for good price. Dinners was good taste and they helped us with bus trip. Thanks

This is a great place to stay if you want to see a lot, quickly and inexpensively in a hostel-like environment. If you would like to travel more independently and explore the area and people more intimately this is not the place for you. We were very grateful for the amenities provided and the hosts' knowledge in helping us see a lot quickly following the tour charge.

Iresha and Robert were welcoming and helpful throughout, providing us with necessary items (e.g. toilet paper, towels) when asked. We were initially supposed to be in a triple room but when we arrived they had given it to someone else. With some negotiation, we figured out a solution and they brought another bed into a room that only had two beds when we first arrived. We were able to move into the larger room the next night. If you are interested in being driven to the cave temple, Pidurangala, and Sigiriya, the package they offer is reasonable but if you wanted to travel to these places independently then it wouldn't be right for you. I would recommend the sunrise hike up Pidurangala. The rice and curry offered there is convenient but there are cheaper options elsewhere. Note however that there are few restaurants in the area as many that cater to tourists are closer to Sigiriya and that this inn is a 5-10 mins walk to the main road in Dambulla.

Irish went the extra mile to make us feel at home while in Dambulla. She kindly offered to and picked us up from the bus station immediately after we gave her a call. Then she gave su some local tips on what to do and what to avoid, which turned out to be very fortunate! We were very, very happy to have climbed the Pidurangala with her instead of going to the overpriced lion's rock. Great opportunity for people wanting to discover the place as a local.

NOT a good expérience. We arrived in a motorcycle breaks with the smell. The room was uncorfortable, noisy ans not so clean. We find irisha ans his father not really sincère. In your opinion, they tell you what they want, when It suits them and they can tell you opposite when it suits them too. Expensive for what is It, and really not look like the photo. We definetly NOT ADVISE it!

Iresha was so sweet and accommodating. We really enjoyed our one night stay at Robert's Inn. Room was clean. Beds were comfy with fan and mosquito nets. Location was great! Would definitely recommend for young travelers passing through Dambulla.

Me and my family are very happy to have fun with the travelers who come through Dambulla. We are more of an on the spot host rather than planned. It would be great if you could come and meet us at our Motor Bike Shop. Even should come (it is quite likely we can host). Almost everyday we are here at the shop until about 6pm. IT IS EXTREMELY EASY TO FIND... JUST ASK LOCALS. The shop is called "Robert Motors" (look for a tall billboard sign) Singer ... which is about 300 meters from the "Food City"... which is only 100 meters or less from the main bus stand in the center of town. Tell your bus conductor or the locals near you that you wish to get off at the Dambulla "Food City". From there our shop is on the side of the road going with traffic towards Anuradhapura/Trinomale/Sygiria. If we are open you will see a line of old Motor Bikes out front. Once you have arrived to the "Food City" if you are still unsure you may try and call my Father. His name is Robert, everyone in Dambulla knows him. If anyone asks, you can say you are looking for him and they will point you to the shop. His # is . My Numb) We would be happy to host if we can at that time. Things change every minute here and we are a very busy family. Being that we are a full house we always like to make sure that everyone is fed and that there is enough. If you come to our home please be prepared to eat and understand that we ask for your contribution for the food and drink. Understand that we want you to feel a part of our family. We can help you get situated there and hopefully we can still have fun. ***I will get back to you IF I CAN through this site, but if not PLEASE don't hesitate to just show up.***
