Great stay close to downtown area. Host was very accommodating to my needs. Local rail is about 2 blocks from the place, thats takes u straight to downtown area in under 2 bucks! Would recommend the place.

Had a great stay! Large private room, cold AC, easy parking outside, even for our large-ish truck. Quick walk to the trolley, and (even better!) right on the bike path, zoom straight into town and explore! Carrie was super accommodating (we had car trouble, arrived late), fast co…

Carrie & Johns place is a great location. We used Lyft to get most places and if you are driving they have space for your car in the driveway. The neighborhood was quiet and people walked to and from the trolly. The room itself was spacious and would easily fit 3 people if yo…

Clean, comfortable space. It's located by some good shops, bars, Whole Foods. Pleased with how accessible city was via public transport. We were so busy that we didn't get much of a chance to meet with Carrie, but she was very responsive by text and accommodating of our busy sche…

I had a great time! The location is nice - it's quiet, but just a 2 block walk to the Canal streetcar. So it's easy to get down to the French Quarter or up to Mid-City / City Park. There is a nice cafe attached to a yoga studio just nearby on Canal. Carrie and her roommate we…

This is such a nice place in a super safe area and close to the beloved Trolley! Carrie is a delightful host with great suggestions. Her roommate John was also super helpful. We packed more into a few days than any two gals ought to and added some extras based on their recom…

This is our 2nd time staying at Carrie's place but the first time she was not home. Her room mate was great the 1st time we stayed there and we thoroughly enjoyed his tips about NOLA. This time though, we got to meet Carrie. Unfortunately we were very disappointed in her unfriend…

Response from Carrie:
This review literally just made my head spin. This couple returns to my place late at night after 11:00pm and we did make friendly chit chat, as far as I was aware. The last time they stayed here I was on a backpacking trip in Mexico. The first thing they say to me is, "Oh! You must work a lot!" They must have mistook my cadence as rudeness when I let them know that I wasn't traveling for work but for pleasure. Simple miscommunication as far as I can tell. I told them all about my trip, all about the countries I visited, etc. We literally conversed for several minutes before they turned in for the night so, again, I am baffled at being accused of having an "unfriendly vibe." It was also late at night as they mentioned and I had also spent the entire day washing the sheets and cleaning the place for them because we'd had a trio of Canadian girls stay for the 3 nights prior and they literally just left that morning. So forgive me if the red carpet hasn't been rolled out enough for you at almost midnight! Also, not to be accusatory or anything, but there was a mirror on the bedside table in this room. After this couple stayed I found it shattered in a million pieces behind said table. Unfortunately I didn't notice in time to really get to the bottom of it and only saw this when I was resetting for my next guests who were absolutely lovely. See their review above :)

I call New Orleans home when I'm not travelling. I was born here and raised in the suburbs. But I love to travel, so so much! I am a backpacker and I love to explore new cultures. So far I've been fortunate enough to have had extended stays in both Guatemala and Mexico. Left piec…
