Do you prefer to be "away from it all," yet be near performance theaters, museums, state parks, and much more? Would you like an on-site co-host nearby when needed? Then this cottage is for you! Come in, relax peacefully in our bright, airy, cozy cottage.

The space

1100 sq. ft., Lots of natural light. The full kitchen and living room have an open layout. A glass, back door opens onto the shady patio deck, which is surrounded by trees and views a brook. There are windows on each side of the house, which allow for lovely cross-breezes when the windows are open.
Two skylights fill the house with lovely light. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The cottage has a dedicated WiFi (password provided) and a TV with USB port. Bring a chrome cast, or apple TV if needed. Cable is not provided. Note that since the cottage is in a remote area with mountatins all around the WIFI has a personality of it's own. Sometimes we can stream two movies in a row with no problem. Sometimes we can't get on. Just for you to know.
Pillows, sheets, towels, blankets and comforters are provided.
Nearest convenience store is 10 minutes away.

Guest access

The cozy cottage is completely for yourselves. The kitchen includes a refrigerator, microwave, gas stove, sink, dishwasher, toaster, blender, and drip coffee maker. The cabinets are stocked with dishes, pots and pans and utensils. A continental breakfast is available through the Berkshire Valley Inn, which includes fresh coffee, baked goods, fruit, and cereal. We share parking with our neighbor and there is space for two cars to the left of the shed.

Interaction with guests

Renee is the proprietor of the Berkshire Valley Inn, (about 1000 feet down our driveway) and is your host. She will provide keys, check-in, cleaning, towels, linens. Renee shares the Inn's pool, and hosts a campfire most nights. She serves a great continental breakfast at the inn, and knows everything about the area. Be sure to call to coordinate your check-in-time.

Other things to note

While there is no central air, there is one bedroom window with an air conditioner, which easily cools the cottage. The living room and other bedroom have ceiling fans. Evenings in the mountains are usually cool.
The indoor fireplace is currently not available for use. The fireplace shown in the photos is currently not a working fireplace.
However, the Bershire Valley Inn, often has a outside fire behind the pool based on the number of folks staying at the Inn. Ask when you check in .

Clean and as advertised. Pat's cottage is very comfortable for two couples. We had enough space on our own and enjoyed the common areas. The cottage has everything you may need for a weekend away in the Berkshires. It is quiet, comfortable, and cozy. There has been a lot of attention to details that made our stay easy and without hassles. Pat was easy to work with and responded very quickly to any needs. It would be great if all Airbnb rentals were this easy.

Great stay in cottage. Location was central to many sites in the Berkshires - Mt. Graylock, Tanglewood, etc. Host was extremely responsive. Directions were good - easy to find the cottage. It was nice that breakfast was included. Wifi was not always reliable but to be expected in the mountains.

We had a wonderful stay at Pat and Renee's place. It was clean, the kitchen was well stocked, and it is located very close to Jiminy Peak. The only thing to note is that the fireplace is non-functional.

The stay was nice. Checking in was easy because of Inn taking the duties of host. The only minor problem we had was with the coffee maker was old and in rough shape, and had to go to a nearby Dunkins for coffee.
