Moms' Beach House will closing November 1, 2017 for renovations and expansion. Check back in the spring of 2018 for summer availability.
The house is a third row family vacation home which we share part time with others. Enjoy the sounds and view of the ocean from the sheltered porch, take a short walk to the beach or use our beach cruisers to explore the island.
Moms' Beach House is elevated on pylons and accessible by a staircase. The master bedroom has a comfortable king bed, television and private bathroom. The guest room has a queen bed, and the bunk room has a queen bed and a set of twin bunks.
The kitchen opens into the living area, is well-equipped and has space for two cooks. We have coffee makers (drip and Keurig), blenders, plenty of dishes and kitchen tools. You are welcome to use any salt, pepper and spices you find in the cabinet and condiments from in the refrigerator.
The deep, covered porch faces the beach to the south and is the perfect spot for morning coffee. The porch receives morning sun but is protected on the west side from the afternoon sun. It is sunny in the winter, but shaded in the summer. There are chairs and rocking chairs and a table and benches if you care to eat al fresco.
The entire house is available for your use, though we ask if you use our personal supplies (band-aids from the medicine cabinet, sunscreen, or the last of the sugar and salt for example) you replace anything you use up.
Interaction with guests
We will provide you a code to the lock box to access a key. We live 3 hours away, but are available by phone or text to assist or advise you.
Our house manager lives on the island and will stop by to greet you early in your visit and be available if you have any needs we can't address from afar. She will follow up with us after you check out and authorize the return of your security deposit.
Our home is furnished with personal items that we love and enjoy. We rent only to mature adults and families who will care for our home like friends or family. Moms' Beach House is 100% smoke free and has a no-pet policy. We strictly enforce our occupancy limits and do not allow house parties. We ask that if your children use the games and puzzles on the shelves that you check behind them to ensure that all the pieces are in the right boxes and that the games are intact when they finish.
Please be sure you are willing to treat our house gently before you inquire about renting.
