The proposed room is on the ground floor of the main building named Plein Sud. It has a double bed and one single bed. Three people can sleep. It has a shower, sink and toilet and opens directly onto the garden.
The Closerie de l'étang is a beautiful property in Norman style dating from the eighteenth century. It was a staging post. It is embellished with a large garden of over 4000 m2 and includes 3 houses: Plein Sud, Plein Ouest and the Hermitage. The property has 4 bedrooms and a small theater with a dozen places. The unit is tastefully furnished in styles art nouveau and art deco. Guests are Nobuko Matsumiya, traditional Japanese musician and Philippe Costa di Costanzo, writer. They will welcome you warmly. They speak English fluently and Nobuko Japanese.
The Closerie de l'étang is located in the center of the village, at the foot of the church. All amenities are within 200 m: merchants, banks, restaurants, doctors, etc.. Come without a car is not a problem in where guests can pick you up at no extra cost or at the station of Verneuil-sur-Avre (9 km, connecting the Gare Montparnasse), or that of Conches -en-Ouches (12 km, connecting the Saint-Lazare train station).
The property is equipped with no TV. Owners wanted to make it a place of rest and contemplation.
The garden, half-wild to keep country spirit, is planted with apple, pear, fig, a hazel, two linden trees, a beautiful magnolia, roses, bamboo and a cherry... Japan oblige! Some evenings of spring, summer and fall, you can retreat into the old laundry overlooking the pond to contemplate the reflection of the moon. A show that never tires...
