Great stay with my 2 young kids (9 and 6), they especially liked the friendly little dogs. Chris was a good, flexible host. Recommended :)

Chris was a great host. Very accommodating and easy going. Even remade 2 singles into a double bed for me. Lovely and warm home. Large ensuite room was very comfortable and the whole house had everything a guest may need. Good to be able to use kitchen to cook if you want. Much better than places where the host makes the kitchen out of bounds except for tea/coffee making. Lovely spot to stay too. Walk over to great pub Stag Inn for real ale and curry. Check out Barnfields Cafe in Castle Acre 3 miles away for delicious lunch/cakes and while you're see the remains of a 2000 year old castle and a Priory too.

Chris made me feel very welcome to contact him if I had any queries. As a new mum with lots of non-mum things also on my mind, I hadn't made a fool-proof preparation... I mean I didn't have printed off copies of our emails. I relied on my mobile phone, which lacked perfect accessibility. Chris had prepared me in advance by sending the entrance code to his house and enabling me to text him. I texted him from the pub to check the entrance code - out of fear my mobile would die - and he responded promptly. It was a high quality place to stay and Chris was understanding that we had a baby too, which a previous host was not comfortable accommodating. Our baby was quiet and lovely, so all went well. I met Chris's last-minute second guest who was a lovely lady. I can't recommend the stay enough. Go for yourself and have a lovely time. I made an effort to leave everything as it had been when I arrived because it was such a lovely place. It felt good. ;)

Chris's property is located in a beautiful and tranquil setting, with some lovely walks on the doorstep. Our room was large and well equipped, and the garden is a peaceful and stunning place to sit on a summer evening. Chris was a very helpful and attentive host.
