Double bedroom with private external bathroom in a quiet street with excellent transport links (bus and train) to Edinburgh city centre.
The train station is at the bottom of our street and gets you to Edinburgh Waverley in 7 minutes for £3.20 (off peak/weekend) or £3.90 (peak times).
Really comfy bed, closet space to store your belongings, a good size mirror, welcome pack (including Edinburgh festival programme for those staying in August) and free high speed Talk Talk wi-fi internet access.
The private bathroom has a bath & shower over bath. We provide all bedding and towels.
We have an integrated garage should you wish to bring bikes or outdoor equipment with you we are happy to store them for you.
The bedroom & bathroom will be yours for the duration of the stay solely for your private use.
You are also welcome to join us in the living room to watch TV/DVDs, use own kitchen as your own and use the ground floor toilet if needed. You will have your own key to the property and can come and go as you please.
Interaction with guests
We will be available throughout your stay as this is our home. We love speaking to guests about their travels and have multiple Edinburgh, scotland, walking and cycling guide books on hand.
Other things to note
We have a beautiful 3 year old Blue Russian cat named Mr Darcy, he is quiet and friendly and not allowed in any of our bedrooms or bathrooms but he will want to meet you so probably best not to stay here if you don't like or are allergic to cats.
We also have a baby girl, Isabella Grace, but as our bedroom is at the other end of the house the feedback we have received to date is that guests can't hear her if she cries during the night.
No smoking inside the home and just treat the space as though it was your own :-)
Live and work in Edinburgh, Scotland love travelling and exploring other cities and living like a local when I do.
Used to work at the Scottish Parliament so love learning about the politics of a country when I travel.
I always look after any place I stay in like it is my own home.
We are looking forward to meeting new people through hosting and have lots of knowledge about Scotland to share.
Feel free to ask me anything else you need to know,
