Thank you Harvey. I do have my home professionally cleaned by a woman who I respect and trust for the past 20 years. She lives nearby and perhaps her cleaning is not up to your standards of perfection, but this is the best that we can do in this rural part of the country with high unemployment that Williams College alone cannot alleviate. Renters should be aware that my home is gently used and that I live here, and thus it will hardly be perfect or spotless nor does it presume to be.
As a recent New Yorker article explained ("The New Sharing Economy") some very wealthy Airbnb hosts who rent out their apartments hire a professional company to take care of rental, guest check in/out, cleaning, and other services to whom they pay a portion of their airbnb proceeds. The result is that you can find some soulless but perfectly spotless airbnb apartments that feel like hotels rather than homes. If you are looking for that kind of a space please rent elsewhere.
My home is a home that is decorated with art, love, compassion, and yes kids live here, sorry. If you have an issue with children, art, or a rural experience, please rent elsewhere. On the other hand if you are 'tired of souless airbnb apartments" as one of my guests wrote, and appreciate a distinctive Buddhist/Tibetan aesthetic flair, then I welcome you!!!
