Interaction with guests
If I'm home I'm happy to help, I usually just provide a list of the great food and sights nearby. I'm always available via text or email with any Seattle tips and tricks, I know this town well!
Other things to note
Age-appropriate toys available for kids, just let me know.
Level II Electric Charging available on site for your electric car!
Pretty much just the basics. We want you to feel at home and enjoy your stay.
Here's the only hard and fast rules besides "use common sense and be a good neighbor":
1) Absolutely no smoking or any other smoking-like-activities on or near our house, even a few houses away. Typically people don't smoke on the street around here so my neighbors would find it disconcerting. There are some fine places to enjoy a smoke nearby - Harvard Avenue, Eastlake Avenue, even a few waterfront spots. There are heavy penalties for smoking. Please just don't do it.
2) Let me know who's staying in my house. Unless you let me know in advance that you are bringing a friend by or having your grandkids over I assume that it will be just you. I'm flexible and reasonable, I just like to know who is walking around my house!
3) There is plenty of on-street parking right in front of the house. Please don't park in the carport unless we've arranged it in advance for your electric car. It's a tough driveway to get in and out of and it's especially hard to see the little kids who play on the sidewalk with a full expectation of safety. If you need help with your bags please let me know.
4) If you need an airbed or two and sheets for it please let me know. I assume that people will be sleeping in the very comfortable beds but if for some reason you need extra beds, please don't sleep on the very comfortable couch!
