Carlos was very helpful and prompt with his answers before we arrived. The house description was accurate, nice house in the typical holiday house style of Ile de Re, conveniently located close to the markets and shops. The garden is nice with terrace and BBQ. One small problem with the house was quickly resolved and arrival and departure was smooth and well organised. The beach is close by bike, but mostly rocky, good for rock pooling but so not so great for swiming

Response from Carlos:
Thanks for your sincere comments. The Montamer Beach, the one closest to our house (about 800 m), is like most beaches in Île de Ré, a mix of white sand and small rocks in different proportions... Les Grenettes (3,4 km) is less rocky and Sablanceaux (5 km) is quite sandy, both are reachable par bike in in few minutes. Not far away, by bike or car you can try Le Bois (7 km), one of largest and beautiful beaches of the island. So there are a lot of swimming options here… Next time!
