Our stay at Auke's place was fantastic. It was very spacious and all the rooms are decorated with care. Picking apples from the trees in the garden, baking home made apple-pie, foraging edible mushrooms in the nearby forest and drinking wine at the fireplace in the evening were the highlights of our stay. It's an inspirational location we can highly recommend!

We spent a few great days in the beautiful old house in the tiny village near Guestrow. The place was bigger than expected and Auke spent so much thought in decorating the old Pfarrhaus to make it feel homey. It has everything you need to cook and hang out.

We had a really really nice time at Auke's place. If you are looking for a break, nature and fresh air, this is the perfect place. I really liked the decoration style in to the house. the communication was perfect, we could have stay much longer. I would go back without hesitation.

It’s like being in one of those dreams where you go through a door and there’s a room, and then another one, and then another… And the Pfarrhaus really is a place for dreaming: comfy beds, sink-in sofas, a wood-burning stove, a terrace full of bird-song and soft-lit vintage finds you can just remember from your grandparents’ days – or maybe you dreamt them too. Many thank, Auke, for the warmest of welcomes and the chance to get away from it all. Guy & Jo

We really enjoyed our stay at Auke's place. Every detail that Auke put into this old vicarige is so beautiful and thoughtful, up until the bottle of wine that was waiting for us. We liked that it's so secluded, whilst only 30 minutes by car from Rostock were we had a great fish dinner in the evening. We'll definitely come back another time in winter. Auke was really communicative and flexible with the booking.

Thank you Auke for your great hospitality! We enjoyed our two night getaway and for us the location was perfect coming from Berlin by car. We needed a break from city life, and the house was perfect for us. The house space was larger than we thought and our 1.5 year old son loved it. Pictures show only some of the attention to detail that Auke has put into his place, with a rustic-industrial style - awesome. Location its close enough to Rostock and Wärnemunde for a day trip. But there is beautiful countryside all around Recknitz. Its great to use the terrace outside and the grill, and also the wood fireplace inside. We can only imagine what a great getaway it would also be in the winter with some snow, and hopefully we can make that happen. We recommend the Pfarrhaus Recknitz and only wish our time there was longer.

Im a Filmmaker from Haarlem The Netherlands restoring this old priesthouse besides my passion for filming & restoring i like to stroll finding old items and loving the authentic mecklenburger country side enjoying the beautiful nature The charming of the place is here to calm down and to sit by fire till late at night I am into sustainability, Interior Simple & Pure Try to use much as possible local found old wood and look for vintage pieces for the changes to help reduce my footprint Mit der grundphilosophie „weniger ist mehr“ materials, such as stone reclaimed wood, providing an authentic feel for its guests transmitting the beautiful, with a deep respect for everything that is authentic.
