Guest parking is on the street. Use the front walk and follow the sidewalk to the side door that has a coded security lock. We leave the lights on at night for you along with nightlights. Our home has a security system we manage as we live on the main floor.

Guests have garden and patio access. The backyard is an abundant space; perfect for relaxing, reading, working on a laptop or enjoying a glass of wine. The yard by the side door is private property.

Interaction with guests

We live on the main floor and work from home during the day so are onsite much of the time. Check out our guide with all the great local places for eat out or visit. Happy to head out to happy hour or dinner with you or leave you in peace.

Sue will be here to greet new guests in person and give you your own door code along with a short tour. We welcome guests of all backgrounds & are LGBT friendly community.

We rarely enter the space while you're here. Example that has occurred recently. AC left running for hours while you are away for the day, we'll pop up to turn it down or off as its wasting energy.

Great space, very close to Downtown. Sue lives up to her Super host status with ease. Seamless checking, great communication, cleanliness, comfort are some of the highlights. Will try to book again if we are coming back to Minneapolis. Highly recommend.

We came here for a weekend trip. It's a quite neighborhood, and has short driving distance to downtown. The room is clean and spacious, with everything needed. The only downside is the bathroom is in the basement. If you don't feel that comfortable to stairs as I do, it may be a bit inconvenient.

Response from Sue:
Hi Hannah Just to clarify for future guests the suite includes a half bath with all amenities so guests do not have to go to the lower level to use the restroom or get ready. The shower is located on the lowest level that reflected in the listing as is the information about the unit being on the upper level with stairs. I agree!, if stairs are a concern, this is not a good fit for a guest who has difficulty navigating stairs.

Sue is a very friendly person and a great host! Her place would be great for a longer stay. She has all of the things that people tend to forget when they travel (iron, utensils, toiletries, etc.)

Sue was a wonderful host and really exuded Minnesotan hospitality! She was so kind when I arrived late and has set up the space well. Even though it's a private room, you get a bonus living area and everything felt clean and we'll-maintained.

Sue was great about communication before and during our trip, and her listing was extremely accurate. She provided everything we needed-- and more!-- for our weekend stay in Minneapolis... the bed was comfy, the space felt private and cozy, and the extra amenities (coffee, tea, snacks, toiletries, space to store our bikes, and an extra space, to name a few) were much appreciated and definitely above average. Sue went the extra mile to make sure we settled in, had everything we needed, and felt comfortable. We had a blast biking Minneapolis, and Sue's place was the perfect home base for our weekend adventures-- close to the Greenway, a short bike ride or Uber/Lyft to Uptown, downtown, or the river. We can't wait to return to the Twin Cities and will definitely stay at Sue's if possible. She is a top-notch host when it comes to providing all of the extra touches that make guests feel at home. Thanks, Sue!!

Sue User ProfileSue is a superhost.

I love the opportunity to meet people during their travels so I look forward to hosting you! I have traveled around the globe & my future trips revolve around yoga. I grew up in south Minneapolis so know the fabulous local places & value the diversity of the neighborhood. I teach yoga & work in social services.

My hosting style is casual & flexible. We live & work on the main floor so of you need something, Sue is usually around.

We prefer meeting new guests in person for a brief check-in.
