Absolutely the best host and accommodation in have encountered ever... Dennis was fantastic and really made us feel at home in his beautiful house... a stunning place with stunning views all round... we did not want to leave at all and come home... we came as strangers but by the time we left it felt like we were with family... definitely will be returning again.

Great cocktails (thanks to my satnav brain and capabilities!) coupled with a great breakfast! We enjoyed our stay.

Court-y-Grove is rambling and comfortable, with Gaye's restrained interior-design expertise on view in each room. After a challenging few months of my own this summer/early autumn, it was a joy to be treated effectively as a member of a family, with generous allowance for my use of day space, especially given that I was staying for a relatively long period and (in all my circumstances) was in the house alot during most days, sharing TV use, kitchen amenities and sitting-room space. I suppose that I was, in reality, on a bit of a 'retreat'; Denis and Gaye were terribly patient with all this and kind as well to allow me 'work' space at one of their sitting-room family desks. Both of them, their family and friends are highly engaging and involved with the world around them, so any guest at Court-y-Grove will gain most by sharing all of that! My visit included the dramas of and attentions to a challenging US Presidential Election, by chance just before the arrival of some other and charming guests from Texas. So it was certainly all 'go', in terms of physical, mental, culinary and other shared hospitalities! Denis and Gaye have travelled through various professional lives and in different parts of the world, so are well-informed and exude grace and good taste and the kind of English manners that my parents and grandparents showed to me, but which are not always found in our frenetic world. I recommend Denis's whisky-sour cocktail and Gaye's lobster pasta dishes. But let's not turn this into a list; there isn't enough word-space ... !
