Our magical studio bungalow has a true desert feeling! It fits 4 people and is located in Old Town Yucca Valley - 6 miles from Pioneertown, 8 miles from downtown Joshua Tree, and 2 miles from the Park. Enjoy the the stars!
Welcome to our Bungalow!
Sit in one of our wooden chairs in front, have a beer, and enjoy the sprawling Milky Way and its millions of stars!
We created this space as an escape from our hectic lives in the city and as a place to re-focus on what' s really important under the wide desert sky. Our home is perfect if you want to get away from it all and enjoy nature or just need a quiet place to get some work done.
Our bungalow is located behind our main house, but you will have privacy and space during your visit. The entire space is fenced for you and your pet's protection.
Please take a look at our descriptions and pictures and feel free to contact us if you have any questions or comments.
You will have access to the studio and more than half an acre of our outdoor space!
The studio consists of a brand new queen bed (new mattress!) and a fold out couch, which can sleep 2 additional people. The IKEA couch folds out onto the floor.
After a long day in the park, relax by preparing a warm meal in our kitchen, stocked with everything you need including microwave, refrigerator, freezer, toaster, and tea pot.
We also provide you with complimentary coffee and tea!
Our studio has ample heating and cooling. There is an air conditioner, multiple fans and space heaters. We also have an indoor fireplace (heater, no actual fire), but it creates a warm ambiance on cold winter months. The space isn't very big so it's easy to cool and heat.
We have FREE WIFI, which is fast and reliable, so you can video chat and stream movies and TV shows. Please bring your own computers and mobile devices! We also have a flat-screen television with a Chromecast so you can stream movies on Netflix, Hulu, etc. (You need to log into your own accounts).
After a long day in in the Park, relax relax by taking a hot shower or bath. Complimentary shampoo, conditioner and soap will be provided!
We will meet you when you arrive and show you around the house and property and answer any questions that you might have.
We are located in Old Town Yucca Valley where you find many charming stores, coffee shops, restaurants, and grocery stores.
Our neighborhood is dotted with tall majestic trees called Joshua trees or yucca palms. Here, you will also find many different kind of plants and cacti as the area has an extraordinary amount of plant diversity (over 750 different species!)
Feel free to explore the neighborhood on foot or bicycle (bring your own or rent one in town).
The easiest way to get around this area is by using a car, but some public transportation is also available.
You can find out more about public transit at Morongo Basin Transit Authority.
Our dog, an English springer spaniel, stays in our home part-time but she's an inside dog who does not like to run around the property.
You will have access to the entire bungalow and the outside sitting area next to the bungalow.
Interaction with guests
We will meet you and show you inside. If we're not home, then we will leave you a key.
We allow pets, but please let us know a little bit about your pet(s) before you come.
For your safety, it is VERY important that you follow these rules:
-Absolutely no smoking INSIDE the house
-Never leave the main door and the screen open. There are many crawling things in the desert so please keep the screen door closed at all times to protect yourself from scorpions, rattle snakes and bugs!

My husband, Kevin, and I have lived in Los Angeles for ten years and after coming out here to visit Joshua Tree National Park, we decided to relocate.
We came here to get away from the hectic pace of city and to reconnect with nature. We are both writers and we find a lot of peace and quiet working here.
Another one of Kevin's passions is making furniture - the coffee table and the TV stand in the living room are both his designs.
We were drawn to the Joshua Tree area for its exquisite beauty and we hope to share this special place with you!
