A Victorian Inn with modern amenities, but the feeling of home. The Clara Minor room is named after one of the Wadsworth’s first boarder listed in the US census of 1910. She may have looked out her windows overlooking 7th street on a Sunday morning and watched the wagons pass by on the way to church. The room was recently updated and redecorated. This is our smallest room (but most popular) with a double bed, air-conditioning, flat screen TV and Cable. This room shares a common bath and kitchen.

The space

The Wadsworth House is a recently renovated 5 bedroom home in Traverse City's Historic district. Today we operate as an inn carrying on the historical nature of the home. The Wadsworth has operated for over 100 years, providing rooming and boarding to the early residents of TC. Great location, walkable, quiet, and historic location. Clean and comfy place with a convenient shared kitchen. Updated bathroom that's fully stocked. The only drawback is that the bathroom is shared with a few other rooms.

Enjoyed The Wadsworth House (Clara Minor Room) over the weekend! The house is lovely and in a great neighborhood, brick-lined streets, within walking distance to the main streets of town. Felt like a local! Front patio is a great amenity for relaxing, besides the kitchen it is the only common area space at the house. The room was small but had what we needed, and we liked being right next to the kitchen. We did have to wait a while for guests in/out of the bathroom Sunday morning. We weren’t in a huge rush so we just waited around, but if you have to be somewhere on time or use the facilities you may want to book one of the rooms with a private bathroom. Thank you for a great weekend trip! Hosts were helpful and hospitable prior to arrival. Would definitely recommend!

The Wadsworth is a perfect place with charm and character. We were there in the off season in mid September and had the whole place to ourselves. Super clean, comfy, and loaded with charm. We really loved riding our bikes through the cool neighborhood and the TART trail. Daena and Jason made sure we were okay and gave us our privacy. Their home is old, creaky, it adds to the charm and I'm amazed with how well they have renovated it. Great job. Highly recommended

Great location in a charming neighborhood and just a few blocks to downtown and the bay. Couldn't have asked for more!

Great place, very clean, great location and communication. Jason did everything he could to make our stay pleasant. Really appreciated the coffee, snacks, fruit etc. Having a refrigerator was a bonus too. Was worried about sharing a bathroom with so many people but it didn't end up being a problem at all. Would highly recommend.

The Wadsworth House was the perfect place for my wife and I to stay during our weekend in Traverse City. Check-in was easy and painless, and downtown was only a short walk away. The hosts gave us some great tips about vineyards to visit in the area, and were available whenever we needed them but not overbearing. At first I was a bit concerned about the shared bathroom, but it was never a problem for us. We really loved our stay and we will definitely stay there next time we are in the area!

My new wife and I purchased the Wadsworth in June of 2016. In addition to running the Inn, we have a vintage style craft cocktail lounge just blocks away called The Parlor. I have lived in TC just over 5 years, but have been vacationing here my entire life from the Detroit area. …
