Very nice, modern and luxurious apartment in Slavija, two hundred meters from the square. Across the street from the building where Neptune is the Temple of Saint Sava and park on the Vracar plateau.
Unless you're a huge fan of COCKROACHES, I cannot recommend a stay with Milko. I came to Belgrade for holiday with my boyfriend (who's originally from Belgrade) for five nights. First night we arrived late and didn't notice our unexpected houseguests. Second night we saw a smaller cockroach in the evening, I'm not squeamish and am well travelled so I didn't make a big fuss about it (we named him Charlie). When Charlie the cockroach on our third night proceeded to invite his whole extended family we had enough and called our host. We had then seen four cockroaches in broad daylight and more in the evening, in the bedroom! The host claimed that this is a normal thing in Belgrade and that they cannot do anything about it as they come from outside. My boyfriend having family and close friends in Belgrade, has never even heard of an issue with cockroaches before. Milko said we could have the money back for the reservation, including our three nights spent, if we left the same day. We stressed out to find a hotel, and called him back within 30 min to return the keys, unfortunately he had then changed his mind and wasn't willing to give us any return of the money! Not even for the 2 nights we didn't stay! I have never been across such a rude man and host, and I would personally have been incredibly embarrassed if I rented out a flat with a cockroach infestation. We also spotted silverfish bug in the bathroom which is a sign of general poor sanitation. If you can accept the vermin, the flat comes at a modern standard and has a great location. However the whole experience, especially how rudely and impolitely the host handled it, has sadly put me off Airbnb.
