The space

(EMAIL HIDDEN) Stay in this clean, private room on first floor of private home. The bed is a comfortable real single mattress. You will share a bath with beautiful old fashioned bath tub. The kitchen is normally stocked with breakfast foods so help yourself. Sometimes I even cook breakfast if I am around. The living room is a very nice place to sit and read. The old fashioned porch has that Southern charm. Throughout the house it has a Victorian old fashion feel to the place. Walking distance to Castlewood Park. As it is a shared driveway, there is plenty of on street parking directly in front of the house. Eight miles to the Kentucky Horse Park, eight miles to Keeneland and the Bluegrass airport, three miles to the University of Kentucky and two miles to downtown Lexington and Rupp Arena. Eighty miles to Churchill Downs, home of the Kentucky Derby and the Louisville airport. Eighty miles to Cincinnatti and their airport. It is a very short ride into the countryside and the horse farms.

Lots of nearby restaurants and shopping. Close to public transportation.

There is a dresser with a pull down desk, perfect for working on your laptop, writing letters, paying bills, etc.

Perfect for visiting students, business persons, Keeneland track visitors/workers or vet interns doing their rotation. The kitchen may be used to prepare meals for any stay of five days or longer.

While we welcome children, our home is adult proof. It is not Child Proof''d.

Maureen was a wonderful host as always! She even upgraded me to a nicer room, free of charge, and offered to make me eggs for breakfast. I would recommend Maureen's house to anyone passing through Lexington as an excellent, warm, inviting place to stay.

Nice location. Lovely home. Maureen is very friendly & helpful. We were the only guests, and were upgraded to a larger room. Beds were comfortable. We would have liked a stand up shower rather than a handheld shower head while sitting in the bathtub.

I enjoyed staying with Maureen for over a month in Lexington. Her place is a ten minute bike ride to downtown and five minutes out to grocery shopping. The room was clean with plenty of space for hanging clothes and putting things away in drawers. She also invited me to eat dinner with her 3 or 4 nights a week, which was very welcome. I plan to stay here again next time I am in Lexington.

I had a wonderful stay with Irish and recommend her home to anyone looking for a clean, quiet and comfortable place to stay in Lexington. I felt really lucky to have found her! Her home is decorated beautifully, and everything is clean and organized. My room has two big windows with lots of natural light, plenty of closet space and comfortable bed. I had to work remotely from her home, so the desk in my room was perfect and the wifi is strong. Her home is quiet and relaxed if you need time to work or study. There is also a park just a few minutes down the street, and I went walking there to take breaks from work. Since I had a longer stay (2 weeks) I enjoyed getting to know Irish and talking over meals. We ended up having a lot in common and she is fun to be around. Irish really made my comfort a priority, and I just felt like it was home away from home! Thank you so much Irish -- having a safe and comfortable place to stay really made my Lexington experience a great one. I consider you a friend and will be in touch!
