Gorgeous spacious 17th-century house in the center, with a terrace!

Comfortable, bright, quiet. Fast WiFi. Suitable for 4 to 6 people. Near restaurants, supermarkets, cafés and museums. Close to the tram. Wood floors, marble fireplaces, wood beams!

The space

A beautiful and comfortable authentic 17th-century Dutch house in the center of The Hague, with a deck terrace!
This house is suitable for 4 to 6 people.
It has three levels:
The first floor has big windows, tall ceilings, hardwood floors, marble fireplaces, and a deck terrace with a table and chairs so you can eat outside! It has a very big living room and a den. The den can be used as a separate bedroom: it has a high-end convertible sofa, which can turn into a very comfortable 2-person bed.
The second floor has original wooden beams and lots of light. It has a bedroom in the front and another bedroom on the garden side. Both bedrooms have 2-person beds with comfortable mattresses, as well as a desk.
The attic floor has a lot of character, with its authentic 17th-century wooden beams, roof windows, and views of The Hague's historical monuments. It's very big, with a comfortable bed, a desk and a sofa, but it has limited head space and access is through the garden bedroom.
There is one bathroom on the second floor, with a sink, a walk-in Italian shower, a washer and a dryer. The toilet is in a separate room on the first floor.
The kitchen is fully equipped with brand new appliances and utensils: a dishwasher, pots and pants, an oven, and everything you need to cook. The kitchen window opens onto the deck terrace so you can eat outside when it's warm. There is a washer and dryer.
There is fast reliable WiFi in the house.

Great location in the heart of the Hague with a lot of shops, restaurant and bar near the house! Really good and immediate communication from the beginning! The house is big and the attic really nice. The only inconvenient was that the WC was very small. Overall it was a nice experience!

we stayed at Sacha's flat for three weeks with my family, inc. 3 kids. we have not met Sacha in person, but his friend was waiting for us and was great help, she shown us the house, provide the information we needed. the house location is great, shops, cafes, restaurants and transport, as a location it cant get any better. you just walk down and you are right at the centre of the town. Things may need to fixed, TV did not work for us, although someone came to help fixing it , but it worked for first night then stopped again; giving the was during the Euro2016 !! we had to watch on computer, which was not perfect of course. the WC was small and has no sink, you would have to claim steep stairs, to upper floor to wash hands.. otherwise, it was great experience, Thanks to Marieke who was great help.

The great points of our stay as three KABK art school students was the size of the house and the location being amazing right next to two large supermarkets, the central shopping centre of The Hague and also Grote Markt. It was also perfect that we could have people over to visit whenever we liked, without strict restrictions. The house has a lot of nice features such as historic fixtures, and felt very homey and comfortable for our five month stay! One issue we faced when we arrived is that this house is advertised as a three bed place but it is not. Unfortunately, as the third bedroom is in the loft, with the only entrance via a loft ladder through the first bedroom we didn't feel this workable as three students. This meant that we converted the lounge into the third bedroom, which was noisy and not as homely as the other two. Something that needs addressing on the advertisement and images as this loft room wouldn't be suitable for children or elderly people. Something that could also be improved on is pigeon control. They roost all over the roofs and also on the balcony, which often meant that when they were nesting out there (for all of the five months), we couldn't use the balcony. Rails or spikes would fix this small issue quite easily. Also some small little faults like fire alarms with no batteries, and loose window fittings etc should have been taken care of before we arrived - given that it was a long term rent. The toilet could do with a lock and some improved ventilation in the shower room. But again, small faults that didn't dramatically effect our overall stay. Don't let this put you off. I feel that with a little touch up of paint here and there, this place would be 10/10! Overall the we found this place a great home away from home during our studies. The location and size was amazing, with Sasha also being of great help with extremely rapid responses and suggesting solutions to our queries whenever necessary.

Our family spent 7 days at this beautiful home in The Hague. It is located very close to restaurants, bars, shopping and tourist attrations. So it was convenient to be able to walk just a short distance and have everything we needed. The house is as described and Sasha was a wonderful host. He kept us informed of any changes and provided detailed instructions on using public transport to reach the house. One consideration for guests who may be less able is that the stairs are quite steep. This made it a little difficult for my Mum who's expericencing a knee problem at the moment but we managed.

The apartment is very well located in the city centre with shopping streets just next to it. There are plenty of restaurants, cinemas, cafes. Everything you need is in walking distance, or short tramway trip. The apartment itself is simply furnished, the stairs, bathroom and toilet are not very comfortable. The sofa, dining table and beds are comfortable. The wardrobes are very simple. On weekend nights it can be noisy. The neighbour downstairs is lovely.

Sasha is a very nice man, and arrange everything for us, even asked us to send him our schedule, and told us how to reach the apartment. And the thing touched me a lot is that, there is a very nice lady Marieke was waiting for us from the early morning. She helped us fixed lots of problems! And this apartment is very suitable, clean and convenient. And its location is very near the downtown, it takes around 5 minutes to be the shopping center, and there are two big super markets. By the way, there is a small garden near the apartment, I jogged every morning during the stay. Anyway, thanks a lot to Marieke and Sasha!! I would like to stay again if there are chances!
