This great one bedroom in Fishtown is a beautiful private rental. With an epic arched ceiling and huge windows it is a very comfortable base for your travels. It is very clean and has many amenities that you will appreciate. Very quiet, perfect for a couple, in a great area. 1 full bed & 3 couches.
It has fast internet, cable and is always professionally cleaned before each rental.
I am dog friendly but will ask for an additional $25 cleaning fee if you want to bring your dog.
This is really a great space, I've been here for about 7 years. Since I started renting it on AirBnB I am regularly reinvesting in the space and making it nicer.
I spend half my time working in NYC. I keep the place very neat and have it cleaned regularly.
Its a one bedroom space with a separate kitchen, some call it a studio some call it a one bed room. There is no separate living room.
This apt is not child proofed, if you want to bring a child we should discuss that. I am dog friendly there is an additional cleaning fee if you bring your dog.
You'll have the whole apt. Kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. Bathroom has a clean stand up shower.
If I'm not there to let you in the key will be in a keybox on the property marked USA. I'll send you the code before your rental.
Interaction with guests
Check in is after 3pm unless otherwise agreed. Normally I have the cleaner come the day of the rental.
I'll prob be out of town during your rental but my business partner is local so in the unlikely event that there's some problem, he can help you.
I'm always avail by phone.
Other things to note
The apt is cleaned before you get it. If you leave a big mess I will charge an additional cleaning fee, that is why I request the $100 deposit. I've only had one problem renter, everyone else has been lovely and I'm sure you will be too.
If you use a towel or an extra blanket please don't be polite and fold it and put it back because then I won't know what is dirty. Please just leave the blanket on the bed and put the towels in the hamper in the bathroom.
I work in film production so I'm used to setting up temp housing for crew and taking care of them so this apt is set up in that way.
There are soap and shampoo dispensers in the bathroom, plenty of clean towels and sheets, new toothbrushes and toiletries you can help yourself to. The fridge will be stocked with some water and some other drinks and snacks that you can help yourself to.
There is a coffee maker and tea set-up. Microwave, stove and kitchen stuff and barware.
You have to go to a state store to get wine in PA so it's often overlooked. I usually have a bottle or two of decent wine. You can help yourself, just leave or send me $12 to replace the bottle.
There is laundry in the building, in the basement, it costs $4 per load and it takes quarters (which is a lot of quarters, so be warned) There is detergent here you can use.
There is baseboard heating in the bedroom and kitchen. In the winter i'll leave them both on medium, maybe turn the bedroom one up to high. There is a aux heater in the bedroom that I'll use for directed extra heat sometimes. The baseboard heater in the bathroom does not work, there is a small space heater in there that is good for the bathroom. Crank it on and close the door 10 min before you shower for a toasty time.
If the baseboard heating seems to be not making heat. Meaning you reach into the heater and the heating element is cold, then the fuse is blown. You have to go into the basement and open the fusebox below the meter marked 2R . On the lower right hand side of the fuses there is a bigger fuse, you'll see it's tripped, flip it off and on to reset it. The fuse seems to trip every 2 weeks or so.... sorry about that if it happens to you.
4 guests is prob the max, maybe you could squeeze in 5 but that's prob the tops.
All the regular stuff, be polite to neighbors, don't be loud especially after 10p. Don't leave the place unlocked.
When you leave please put all your sheets and towels in the provided bag.
If you stay on a Thursday night please put the trash and the recycling out on the street on Thursday night.
Very rarely I will need access to the property for just a few minutes to pick up or drop off bedding, towels, etc. I will always alert you at least a few hours usually a day in advance and coordinate the time to your ease. This doesn't happen often.
I'm not going to freak out if you smoke a bit in here, but don't overdo it, please open the windows and keep the smoke to a minimum. When you come here you'll see it's very nice and airy.
When you leave please close the windows, turn off the heat and the lights.

I'm a small business owner and friendly person. I am a team leader and love it when a plan comes together.
I have one adorable baby in NYC and use my apt in philly to help support him.
I put a lot of work in to the apt and have made it premium destination for guests in the best neighborhood in Philadelphia. The apt is packed with amenities and always immaculate.
