Imagine that rustic midwestern cabin you love with the comfy couches and hammock on the porch. Now imagine it on a Caribbean island steps from the sea where you can swim out to a reef full of beautiful lively coral and every fish you've ever seen on National Geographic. Such a treat.

This is a great location as you have easy access to the reef and a very quiet beach area. The cabins are indeed rustic (hearing what people in cabins above/below are up to, sand coming down from the floor board above...) but they've got everything you need. The on sight staff were very friendly and happy to help us enjoy your stay. The lay out of the grounds allow you to interact with other guests if you like or enjoy your privacy.

We had a beautiful week on Roatan, and feel lucky we stayed at Seadancer. This is a great option of you're looking for a quiet place to stay, away from the hubbub of West End, but still near enough to get there for the restaurants, or the other direction to the large supermarket in Coxen Hole, in about 10 minutes by island taxi ($2 per person). Dan was quick to respond to or initial inquiry, and answered all or questions ahead of time, as well as giving us loads of information about the neighborhood of Sandy Bay, and about the island in general. During our stay he was available if we needed anything, and also gave us plenty of space. The 2nd floor apartment we stayed in, #3, was as advertised, spacious and clean, with a large porch and a great view of the dock and the reef beyond. It was wonderful to always hear the waves breaking nearby. Our favorite thing about Seadancer was the long dock - great to sit out on for coffee in the morning, to snorkel off of during the day, and to stargaze from at night. We also lucked out by being able to walk a few minutes down the beach to Blue Island Divers, just three docks down - we dove with them all week and had a great time.

We had a great experience staying at SeaDancer. Both bedrooms are spacious, the kitchen functional, and the wifi pretty fast. Not having hot water isn't really an issue for showers unless you dislike even lukewarm water. SeaDancer is in a good location for those who don't know the island. There's only one restaurant within walking distance but the West End is about 15 min away by cab which isn't bad. It's definitely more peaceful than a lot of places and the beach isn't bad (watch out for sand flies!). Also, having a dive shop a couple doors down was really handy (Blue Island Divers was competitively priced compared with the other five shops).

Thanks Jude. We loved having you. Sorry about the hot water, we have fixed the issue. Wish you would have told us when you were on island. You and your guests are welcome back anytime.

What a delight. I went to Honduras with a friend for about three weeks and spent a week at Dan’s place in Roatan. It was certainly the nicest place I stayed at while in Honduras (a combination of private homes, AirBnB, and hotels). Dan was was not there while we were but Don and Melvin both live there year round and they made sure everything was taken care of. Melvin picked us up at the ferry dock (stopping along the way so we could buy some groceries) and then at the end of our stay brought us to the airport. Don was a wealth of information and very helpful with any questions we had. I was in Honduras to take Spanish lessons, after seeing Seadancer the teachers decided to come out to us to do the classes because it was so beautiful.

Response from Dan:
Wolfgang, It was a pleasure having you with us! Don and Melvin both commented how great you were. They thought Spanish Lessons were a unique way to spend a vacation! You were an excellent guest and welcome back anytime! We are very happy that you, and the teachers, had a great time! Come and visit us again sometime! With thanks, Dan
