Enjoy the warmth and beauty of the Mediterranean on an island with a reputation for its welcoming hospitality. Only 20 minutes away from Larnaca International Airport and the beaches.

The space

Villa Menorah is nestled in the Cypriot hills in Ayia Anna with all the charm of a traditional Greek stone village retaining much of its original flavour and quaintness of local character. Surrounded by a beautiful garden, it enjoys the tranquillity of the countryside.

This room enjoys a king-size bed and delightful views of the garden from its own covered patio with a private shower.

Wake up to our fresh continental breakfast. Dinner options abound with a couple of excellent island-renowned taverns famous for sumptuous Greek Cypriot meze and live folk music. For those who prefer the independence of self-catering, a fully-equipped kitchenette is convenient for lunch and supper and there is a well-stocked shop in the village.

Ideally situated for easy access to both seaside beaches - by car or bus - and the Troodos Mountains, this is a perfect launchpad for exploring the island. We’re glad to help with your touring plans and do everything we can to make your holiday a pleasurable experience.

Guest access

Guests are welcome to enjoy the lounge and front veranda as well as the garden. The room leads out onto a patio, with chairs and coffee table, which looks out onto the garden through arches.

Interaction with guests

We're available to help you with your sightseeing plans and can offer maps and guidebooks to help you explore the island. We will do our best to cater to your needs.

Sandra's home is absolutely beautiful and a wonderful place to relax in a little village with nothing more great places to eat. The house is extremely cosy and clean. Sandra is well-travelled and a great conversationalist who does excellent breakfasts. I can highly recommend staying here.

We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Menorah very much. It is a lovely place, in a Greek Cypriot village, far enough from the heat and noise of Larnaca, but in the same time it's only a 15 minutes ride to the city and a 10 minutes ride to the motorway. The location of the village is also quite fortunate, because you can easily reach Ayia Napa/Protaras to the east, Limassol/Paphos to the west or Nicosia/Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to the north. Quite important to mention is that there is a taverna in the village that people come from far away just to enjoy traditional music and the famous meze (friendly tip, don't eat anything that day, otherwise you'll be full before you even get started). The room we stayed in is very cosy and clean. Breakfasts were delicious and nourishing and we appreciated the fact that we could have breakfast later or earlier in the morning, depending on our schedule. Sandra offered us lots of useful tips and recommendations so that without much trouble we were able to find the most beautiful beaches and worth-visiting places in Cyprus. Other guests that were staying at the villa had a very positive experience as well. She is also a very nice person to talk to (not just about travelling or Cyprus). All in all, we think this place is perfect for couples of all ages, who are looking for a quiet place, with all the amenities you could possibly need, and a very good starting point for reaching any destination in Cyprus. We'll definitely recommend it to our friends and family.

Everything about my stay at Sandra's was amazing. She wasn't able to be home when I arrived so she left me a detailed note about how to get inside, where to set up camp and everything else I needed to know. Not only did she provide an excellent breakfast but she also invited me to have dinner with her on Friday night. The spread was more than I could have ever expected. As far as the room goes, the bed was comfortable, easy access to the bathroom and a private entrance made it an ideal space for my last 2 days in Cyprus. Stay with Sandra! You won't be disappointed.

Sandra made me feel welcome by warm and real conversation and a filling personal breakfast with many options. Since I only had a 22 hour layover, I’m so grateful she had a little extra time to help me with my flight and anticipated travels back to Cyprus for a little vacation in the near future - I'm definitely planning on another night once I return! She was prompt in her communications, kind in hier hospitality, and very informative. The listing description was definitely accurate – but the experience with Sandra, other community members, and the wildlife was beyond all of my expectations. If you’re as fortunate as I was, you may be able to spot the local chameleons in the trees! The neighborhood was idyllic and open. An absolute must is the local tavern, just across the bridge from the villa. There you may meet a certain “Yakovitch” who gave me free food and drinks – even though I showed up during the final moments of a family party! Needless to say, the hospitality of the entire community seemed wonderful.

The next best thing to meeting people while travelling yourself, is having travellers from around the world come to your own doorstep. A veteran nomad myself, I know how it feels to experience genuine, warm hospitality and want to offer guests a restful haven on their own adventures.
