This cabin is in a lovely, peaceful setting. Cozy and private, it has enough room for a big family gathering. The cabin has almost 10 acres of privacy and lots of outdoor space, but is very close to all of the Berkshires attractions.
This rustic, low-key and affordable cabin provides lots of space for a family gathering or a cozy weekend for two in the Berkshires. The house has been enjoyed by my family for four generations. Beds for ten (one queen, two twins and three bunk beds), two full bathrooms with showers (one tub) and a well-equipped kitchen. Laundry facilities in the basement.
The house is well shaded by trees on all sides and stays relatively cool in the summer (we supply fans for each bedroom). The front room has an open floor plan with living room, dining room and kitchen. New wood burning fireplace insert that keeps the whole house warm in the winter. Very kid friendly with a high chair, pack and play and booster seat. Board games, puzzles and cards, plus a craft area with some supplies.
We are also pet-friendly but ask that you ensure your pet does not cause any damage to the property and that you remove any pet waste from the lawn, yard or other trafficked or mowed areas.
The house sits on 10 acres with plenty of privacy, a brook running in the front of the property and plenty of outdoor backyard space with seating and a grill.
Whole house, backyard and woods, brook.
Interaction with guests
I live out of the area but am available by phone, email and text during your stay.
Other things to note
There is no public transportation, you will definitely need a car.
No smoking in the house. Please collect and dispose of any cigarette butts anywhere on the property. No loud parties or other activities that would disturb the neighbors. Please be sure to remove any dog waste from the mowed or trafficked area of the lawn and yard, front and back.
Please carefully follow all instructions on the mantle for use of the fireplace insert. Only burn wood in the fireplace!
Please keep track of the only key to the property and return it to its place under the front mat upon your departure. There is a $50 charge for replacement keys.
Parking is suggested only on the gravel driveway. The front lawn next to the driveway can get muddy when it rains so use with caution so you don't get stuck! If you must park on the lawn, park at the edges where it is higher and drier.

I live and work in Boston with my family. I enjoy traveling, cooking, some gardening and spending time with my family. I love to check out local farmer's markets wherever I go.
