This apartment (1/2 of a duplex/double) is in The Bywater. Walk to the French Quarter in just about 20 minutes or Frenchman st. in 15 minutes. The house is set off the street so no stoop sitting. Enjoy the front porch for people and pet watching.
"La Maison des Chats" is nestled in one of the oldest neighborhoods in New Orleans; we are a quaint double; "Old world charm in a modern city." Conveniently located this apartment is downtown and just minutes to all sites and tourist locations.
I am constantly buying new items for the space, so it is not cluttered (yet). I ask all guests, that have stayed, to let me know what I should provide for their comfortable stay and I have provided all they suggest.
Separate gate for the 3041 side of house. The front porch is for the guests to use at their leisure time.
Interaction with guests
Owner lives on site.
Other things to note
Being a neighborhood we do have an occasional roach, chickens, roosters, cats, dogs, church bells, trains and other "urban neighbors" that impact our rest at times.
There is a rooster on our block and he does crow. The tub is old like the house and some to the glaze has worn off over the last 100 years. It is not dirty, just aged.

Gate is to be kept closed and front iron door should be locked at all times for your safety. No parties after 9 pm, because our neighbors do go to work in the a/m. If you smoke I prefer you do it on the porch and not in the home. I respect your right to smoke, but we must think about the comfort of other guests too. There is a rooster on the block and he does crow, church bells across the street and a train two blocks away. Thank you, I have provided a box fan for "white" noise. It is flea season "always" in New Orleans, so check your legs and feet before you enter the apartment and brush any you see off! Thank you,
