This was my first time staying in an Airbnb, as it is my first time traveling abroad solo. I couldn't have chosen a better place to stay! Even when Yuta was absent because of work and other obligations, he still made it his priority to make sure I was comfortable during my 10-day stay at Blendia. Right from my arrival, I felt right at home. The area itself is tucked in a quiet residential, and is very easy to find if you follow Yuta's directions. I met many interesting and fun people, including frequent residents and first-timers. Motoki and a couple of the housemates even invited me to the local onsen which was walking distance away from Blendia. If you ever get hungry, there are plenty of restaurants and convinience stores near Fudomae station. If you're on a commuter budget, want to visit the major spots in Tokyo, and don't mind walking 14 min., then I suggest taking the JR Yamanote Line from Meguro station instead. As for the actual rooms, the beds were quite comfortable, and everyone was very respectful if you ever needed to get some sleep. I highly recommend this place, and I will most definitely stay here again when I come back to Tokyo! 10/10

I've stayed at sharehouses through Airbnb before, but my experience at Blendia was unique. There's a very friendly atmosphere, and the fact that everyone has vastly different backgrounds leads to interesting conversations and fun times. Everyone I met was very welcoming and accommodating. The location is central in that it's walking distance from several major train station, but secluded enough so that it's quiet and peaceful. There's also a mom-and-pop Italian restaurant right across the street with really sweet owners. I slept in the upper floor guest room, which had 2 bunk beds = 4 beds total. I was initially worried, but I slept quite well. Even though there were other guests in the house, I never had to wait to use the bathroom or restroom. One suggestion I'd have is to tidy up the bathroom faucet, as it's detached from the wall and slightly hard to use. Other than that, I loved my stay at Blendia and hope to return someday.

They're great. I was a little early for check in and there was a miscommunication, but Yuta responded as quickly as he could to get it sorted. It's a young household and the energy is vibrant. I would definitely stay here if you're looking for community.

Yuta is a very funny and friendly guy, good to communicate in english.I was there for 3 nights. I spent most of the daytime outside but when I got back to Blendia at night ,there were always people chatting, sharing good food and drinking at common room, which made my trip much more interesting!

Motoki&Yuta User ProfileMotoki&Yuta is a superhost.

Hello! My name is Motoki. I love to travel, especially when meeting new people and sharing each values, knowledges and experiences there. So I made up my mind to open BLENDIA to do that even on my daily life, and also to let the guests experience the most fantastic moment of the travel as well. In the beginning of 2015, after 6 months of preparation, I finally opened here, and welcomed more than 600 guests in nearly 2 years.
Konnichiwa! I'm Yuta!
I love this place so much because I spent most of my college life here at BLENDIA. From wonderful memories, serious accidents to funny pranks, everything is here! What I like most about Airbnb is the opportunity to build ongoing relationships with guests who have stayed at my house and return. Not only that, but hosting guests gives me the advantage to share perspectives, culture, and experience with the guests from all over the world. I hope to gain a unique worldview through the conversations with you, and develop new perspectives by sharing our idea.

BLENDIA, the name of this guesthouse came from the coffee blend. On the blending process, it's required to understand each beans contained in a blend. They are coming from all over the world, and each one has special flavors or tastes. Bitter, fruity, dark, sour...everything is very different, but should be understood all.
The people are same here. They're coming from all over the world with different background such as culture, religion, language...anything. And here, they all can be blended with understanding each other, and finally made one unique flavor called "Today's Blend".

There're lots of things happening in the world, but I believe people can understand each other as long as we can face and talk directly.
Can you be a part of Today's blend? We welcome whoever likes this concept!! So...See you soon here!
