Top Location everything reachable by feet, warm, clean and useful. Just the madress was a little old and not that comfortable. Everything else was in good condition.

This property is managed by Maverick Empire. It is about the size of a dorm room. They claim to have air conditioning and heat, but they don’t let you use it depending on the time of year for ‘energy saving purposes.’ The spring mattress is worn out and loud. The walls are thin and you are on the first floor, so you will hear every person come and go from the building, in addition to multiple morning alarms from various neighbors. Checkout is very inflexible! I asked for an hour extension, and was told it was impossible. Asked for a 20 minute extension and was told I could have 15. Claim they have 24 hour service, but they never got back to me after business hours even if I messaged them that night. Price per night varies between 80 and 200 a night. Probably worth it at 80. Beware the $100+ “service” fee.

Response from Alicia:
Hi William, Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. I would like to apologize for the issues that you had during your stay. We greatly appreciate this information as we’re always striving to improve for our future guests. We want to ensure that we respond to all concerns from your stay. Our guests always have access to control the temperature in their unit. However, our building system must run on either heat or AC, so we are unable to have guest’s change this mode. Adhering to Massachusetts guidelines, we are mandated to provide guests with heat from September 15th to June 15th. Each year is a case-by-case basis when we actually make the switch, due to unpredictable New England weather. Given an overall consensus from our guests, we switched to heat in the beginning of November. Due to our cleaning schedule, we are unable to accommodate late check-outs. However, we’re always happy to send our guests a list of places nearby that offer luggage storage. We strive to respond to guests within a timely manner. After 9PM, we reserve this time for emergency calls and all other questions will be answered first thing in the morning. The service fee that you mentioned is part of Airbnb’s commission. Unfortunately, this is something we’re unable to control as this is not our charge. We would like you to know that we hear your concerns and are always looking to have feedback to improve a guest’s stay. Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience. Sincerely, Alicia

This is exactly as described and in a great location. You can walk to everything. The bathroom is really nice. The only con is the mattress. It was very uncomfortable but we made due for a short trip. However I wouldn’t recommend it for a long trip or for someone with back or sleeping issues. Other than that, great place and a good value. Communication was fantastic too!

Location is everything you are looking for to be centrally located in the best part of downtown Boston. This room is well represented in pictures, tasteful remodel, very clean, and well equipped. The humidity was a bit much even with the air conditioning constantly running - don't know if this is due to being lower in a building or the a/c unit not being able to pull enough air through... Ripping up the carpet would make the space feel even cleaner. The mattress was a disappointment, if a super comfy mattress is a must have for you, this is not your place. It was just sufficient for 4 days of crashing after walking all day. A new mattress and no carpet would've put this great deal over the top.

Great location in Beacon Hill, within walking distance of the T and the heart of downtown. Beautiful street. The room is very clean and welcoming with adequate space for two people. My only complaint is that the mattress wasn't very comfortable. We also had some issues with the wifi and hot water, but Alicia responded very quickly and resolved the issues. I would highly recommend this place.
