What can we say? Our stay was fantastic. From the moment we arrived Laura took the time to chat we us and give us the overview of the town and area. What the must sees are and the not so must sees. Laura was really helpful and supportive during our stay which was really great. Loved the tamales! We stayed in 3 apartments during our time there and all are really very cool and hip. The apartments grounds are a little oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the streets. We thoroughly recommend staying here as it just a short walk to markets, Zocalo and other historic buildings and downtown cafes and restaurants. Many thanks Laura Amamos nuestro tiempo

I can't say enough about this hidden gem. What a tranquil place to spend two weeks with my daughter and her friend. Laura and Ceasar were amazing and very helpful in our travels. Beautiful gardens here with a coy pond and outdoor area for grilling. Internet was as reliable as it gets in Mexico. Wonderful daily maid service. Very conveniently located to the Santo Domingo Church and Indigenous Market. Everything is walkable in downtown San Cris from here. We will be back.

This place is absolutely incredible! The apartment is charmingly decorated, with beautiful tile and woodwork in the kitchen and bathrooms. It has numerous floor-to-ceiling doors (fitting!) onto the surrounding patio and garden, allowing in heaps of light during the day. Although it's on a busy street, the apartment is set well back and is completely silent. And it is incredibly large -- it engulfed the two of us, and would easily suit a full family. The master bed is wonderfully comfortable, and the on-site staff were very helpful, turning around some laundry in just a couple of hours. The location is nice, a quick walk to the main pedestrian area in the city centre, and very close to the fantastic textile museum. If headed to the former, I'd suggest cutting south off of the relatively busy Calle Real de Mexicanos onto the quieter paralleling streets. The complex is beautifully gardened and there is easy parking under a shelter within. (If you're using the car's navigation system, be careful it doesn't send you the wrong way on a one-way street!) Overall, I can't recommend this place highly enough -- it is wonderful to spend time in, and a great base for exploring the lovely city.

Our stay at Kukurutz was incredible. Laura, Mateo, Cesar, and the rest of the staff made our stay in San Cris. so comfortable and enjoyable. The apartment was beautiful, a perfect space to spend a honeymoon, lighting the colonial fireplace and sleeping in a king sized bed was over the top. The gardens are great for morning coffee or an afternoon book/nap, where you can watch hummingbirds and listen to the sounds of the city just beyond the stone walls. The main mercado is two blocks away, and a quick and lovely stroll to the best shops and restaurants in San Cris. Easy to catch a colectivo at the mercado for a day trip to the mountains, returning steps away from home...we will miss Kukurutz, can't wait to come back!!! Joshua & Molly
