Barry and Kate were spectacular hosts for our first stay in Dublin. The house was gorgeous, the bedroom was spacious and private just as described. Barry and Kate were so kind and hospitable, making our stay even better. The area in which the house is located is just outside the city center with easy access to public transport. It took about 20 min to get to the city. The area offers slightly more affordable dining options with lots of shops and a great park down the street. We would love to stay with Barry and Kate on our next Irish adventure!

When you go to Barry, you should know: - He is Irish, which includes a lot of laughs, great (really great) hospitality and the occasional backyard axe throw; - The location is just outside of the buzzing Dublin city center, easily reachable by bus (and I mean easily, it stops in front of the house and leaves about every 15-30 mins); - You can have a quiet stay at his house, or be social in the living room area; - Several restaurants and 2 grocery stores are close by; - Try 'The village bistro' for their full Irish breakfast! Overall we had a great stay and we're definitely visiting again.

Barry's place is perfect! Beautiful house and garden, very comfortable. The location is great, easy to get to the city center and airport from there; plenty of shops and nice cafes around in the village. Barry was a great host, very friendly, communicative and easy to make arrangements with as far as checking in, etc. I will definitely stay again (hopefully) soon!

Barry is a great host. We had nice contacts. He is open and wants you to feel at home. Although the location is not in the center it was no problem to go by bus in a short time. In a few minutes walking in my opinion the best supermarket around. It is a relative new Aldi, best I've seen ever. Parking easy and wide opening times. It is really huge. The assortment is wide, the quality level much better than I ever expected. Make time to do the Wild Wicklow Tour. You will be not disappointed. Unique landscape.

The house is very nice and Barry was very helpful. A lot of shops and restaurants and public transportation are closed by. Highly recommended.

Hello there! Ladies and gentlemen we are floating in space. As a young man growing up in Carlow in Southeast Ireland, my first experiences of adventure and travel were through the books of Roald Dahl! My favourite band ever is 'Faith No More': I love their eclectic sound, they have recorded four phenomenal albums, but most of all I appreciate their sense of humour, especially about the serious things. My top two destinations that I have not yet been to are Cambodia and Antartica. I like to play chess, it's a way of dealing with infinity. I like to play football and swim. The life motto I repeat the most is, "Never be ashamed of what you don't know!", we all walk a different path in this life. My greatest weakness is talking about myself. As a guest I am not fussy: a hot shower, a comfortable place to lay my head and a roof are all I require. If you would like to discuss anything at all over a pint of beer, I will oblige. I really really like science fiction. Kurt Vonnegut is the man. Apparently it is better to talk about a few things a lot than a lot of things a little, but shir I gave it a go!
