About this listing
Our apartment is 500 sq. feet, 1.5 miles to downtown, 3 miles to neyland stadium. The bike path that goes to downtown/UT is 200 feet away and the bus stop is just a few minutes walk. We are on a corner lot with plenty of street parking (always space available), and are just 8 minutes walk to Happy Holler area where you will find bars and restaurants. It has a full kitchen/living room, entry way, breakfast nook, full bed and a comfy fold out futon. It is also equipped with a private entrance.
My buddy Matt (a contractor) and myself just finished building this basement apartment from scratch. Honestly, it is nicer than where we live upstairs. It was just a regular basement in May, but now it is a finished apartment with everything you need!
The entire apartment is yours, with a keycode entrance under the carport! Once you enter the key code door the Airbnb apartment is on your left.
Interaction with guests
We live upstairs so we will be able to provide recommendations of what to do in Knoxville or The Smoky Mountains. The apartment has it's own entrance so it is great for privacy as well. I also drive the bus for Knox brew tours (friday nights), so I can send you in the right direction if you love good beer.
Other things to note
If you drive here please park outside our house on Cornelia Ave before or after the driveway. We use an HDTV antenna and get 20+ channels. There is an HDMI cable so you can watch online shows with your computer. Also, we have a lab mix on the property and he lives in the front yard. His name is Cooper. He has a loud bark, but he is very friendly.
If you can just leave the place like it was when you arrived that would be great!

I have been a glassblower for the last 13 years and I do a lot of traveling. I have worked on cruise ships all over the globe for the last 4 years (for the Corning Museum of Glass.) I recently quit that job, got married, and moved back to beautiful Eastern Tennessee! Hosting is a great opportunity to keep meeting people from around the world. I've had so many amazing trips with Airbnb, hostels, and old friends couches. I think its great to finally be a host after traveling non stop for the past 5 years.
