The space

Built in 2010, this farmhouse style 2 bedroom, 2 full bath house is located in a prime location in Woodstock, NY. Few minutes walk from town center. Drive over the wooden bridge, listen to the bubbly brook and you are now home.

Nestled between the bubbly Tannery brook and the Woodstock Commeau Preserve - this is the best of both worlds. You have the convenience to walk to town and enjoy the many restaurants, shops, movie, entertainment and yoga that Woodstock has to offer while feeling you are away in nature. Located behind the property, is a beautiful hike which takes you through the enchanted forest.

This house is perfect for two couples or a family. There are 2 full bedrooms (one upstairs that converts to two bedrooms that can be closed off with large barn doors, and one downstairs) with two full baths. The master suite on the second floor has a queen size bed, and barn doors close off a small room with bunkbeds. Located off the master suite is a deck to enjoy morning coffee or gaze up at the stars in the evening. The downstairs bedroom has a queen size bed.

The house has an enormous chefs kitchen with a 5 range stove, dishwasher and fridge with filtered water. There is a washer/dryer located in the mud room off the first floor bedroom.

The fireplace was the original fireplace and adds such charm. In the winter, cozy up with a glass of wine in front of the crackly fire and feel like you are in a ski lodge. There are many boardgames, puzzles, dominoes and cards to enjoy. If you feel like watching a movie, there is a 42 inch flat screen tv with cable and blue/ray dvd player.

Off the kitchen is a blue stone patio with propane grill where you can enjoy your morning coffee and meals or lounge on the outdoor couch. If chilly, turn on the gas fire pit for some warmth with a glass of wine beneath the stars.

No car is needed as you can take the bus from Port Authority and get dropped off right in front of the property.

Thanks Pat and Rebecca for a wonderful stay. Communication was great, arrival was terrific, all was as promised in the house...and what a lovely house it is. There's a wonderful kitchen, an awesome master bed and bath, a cozy living room and two other bedrooms. The outdoor space was a perfect playground for our 7 and 10 year olds - incredibly spacious, safe and well-appointed. The one thing to know is that your neighbors are very close by and the main drag in Woodstock is 30 yards away from the front door.

We stayed in Rebecca's house during the last weekend in August for 3 nights. The house was fantastic. It is very tastefully decorated and has state of the art amenities. The location is absolutely perfect as it is right in town, but when you're in the backyard you feel like you're secluded. I would highly recommend this house for 2 couples or a small family.

The house is in the prime location in woodstock. You get a little bit less country but walking distance to great restaurants and even the hike. The house is gorgeous, well designed and has a real character. The big plus is the outside space. We had dinner every night at the big table outside. The owners were always available to answer our questions. Overall a great stay.

We had a blissful 4-night stay at this home this summer. The location is perfection with proximity to Woodstock Village for dining and shopping, as well as the divine Comeau Property up through the trees in the back for hikes. The house itself is the perfect size for 4 adults (two couples), and could also accommodate a couple children. We brought our toddler and she loved it. Their home is thoughtfully built with plenty of creature comforts like central air, large and clean bedrooms and bathrooms, a fireplace, nice kitchen appliances, etc. The best part is the outdoor patio and grounds. The backyard and surrounding area is lovingly cared for and the patio furniture -- with its fire pit and grill -- is a great place to spend hours. Everything is pretty much as the hosts said it would be, and as reflected in the photos.

Rebecca's home was really lovely. Beautifully decorated and very clean. It is really right in the town of Woodstock, much closer than I expected. You can easily walk or take a few minute drive to all the best locations. I felt very welcomed and all questions I had were answered immediately. She really went above and beyond with explaining everything I would need to know for the home, and suggesting all her favorite restaurants and spots to visit.

My two sisters and I recently stayed at Rebecca and Pat's home and it was - in a word - fabulous! The home itself is modern, clean, spacious, and inviting, and the outdoor patio space was perfect for low-key grilling and dining. A short walk through a field behind the home led to a wonderful wooded path where we ran and walked and met lots of locals with their dogs! The home is a very convenient walk into Woodstock: close enough to enjoy dining and shopping, but far enough that it felt like it was a private country location. In advance, Rebecca provided a list of restaurants, activities, and local information. I'd recommend this beautiful home to anyone visiting the area.

This is an amazing place to stay in a quaint, chill and lovely town. We got here immediately after a snowstorm (bad timing on my part) and had to trudge through snow to get to the cabin. I honestly wasn’t expecting much and was taken aback by the quality of this place. Cement floors on the first floor have radiant heating and are s(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) warm. The open kitchen has doors leading out to the yard. The fireplace was large and provided great heat. The house was super clean, the Wi-Fi worked well and Rebecca responded promptly and in a sincere manner. I can’t wait to stay here

I am a mom to two young kids and married to my best friend for 26 years. When I am not chasing after the two spirited kiddos, I love having a glass of vino (or two) with my partner in crime and friends and having a good chit chat. . Yoga also provides some balance.
